  1. Always overwhelming to know which doc is the right one.
  2. Where is the office? Done in hospital? Free consultation? I will give them a call.
  3. She is in Northbrook and cost $11500 total. Want it done in September. What was your quote? I need hip to hip and not a mini
  4. I eat more than 4 oz for sure! Exercise plan is very good with variety each workout. I am not hungry between meals but for example I ate a small caesar salad and 2 crab cakes last night with no problem. Went from size 20 to 14 but my weight is mostly now in the stomach. Legs and thighs are perfect. I lost quickly the first 3 months so realize it will slow down but since have plateaued a few weeks I wanted to see if that is normal before rushing for another fill. Never have had discomfort and trying my best to avoid being overfilled (whatever that point may be)
  5. I know of someone on there and many things of HOW they lose so quickly is not televised and frankly not realistic. Used to envy the contestants but the practices are not conducive to every day life and many gain a good portion back! Slow and steady is always best.
  6. Slow and steady has less saggy skin plus better eating options!
  7. Banded Dec 4. Lost 33 lbs so far with 2 small fills. Have about 15 more to go and notice a plateau for last couple weeks. Should I get another fill or wait? Exercise 5 days and eat sensible.
  8. Dr Sweiss is excellent but I would be first lap banded tt should would do. Has done many gastric bypass patients.
  9. Any suggestion for tummy tuck doc with experience on patients who have had a lap band?
  10. Just had a consult and 2 surgery areas was highly discouraged due to blood flow issues.
  11. My doc encouraged me to start 2 weeks post op and no limitations. I started off slow doing 30 minutes of cardio and light weights. Good luck
  12. I have had tremendous success so far with the band BUT doctor post op treatment and guidance is key. Exercise must also be a regular part of your life. 33 lbs in 3 months. Good luck!
  13. My doc put me on regular food after 10 days. Soups often contain alot of sodium and fat so be careful. Chili and chicken salad were my common food of choice during weeks 3 and 4.
  14. Banded on Dec 4 2013 weighing in at 217 lbs and 5'7". Just celebrated my 3 month bandiversary weighing in at 187. Exercise 5 days a week and following exactly whaty doctor says definitely has been key to my success so far. Never have I been uncomfortable nor eaten something that doesn't agree with me. Feel fantastic!
  15. They are cut and dry. BMI = or > 35 with 2 preexisting conditions or BMI = or > 45 is approved. If denied have doc resubmit.
  16. New to website. Banded on Dec 4 2013 weighing 217. Celebrated 3 month bandiversary yesterday, March 4, weighing 187 at 5'7". Never have experienced discomfort and have had 2 fills. Love the blessing of the gift of banding. Newfound commitment to exercise has definitely helped me off to a wonderful start.
