  5. Can you tell me more about the Fluid buildup?
  6. @@JustWatchMe Thank you , your reply was very informative. I have a question though, why do most people gain weight after the operation?
  7. I was originally scheduled to do a sleeve, but then blood tests kept getting worse, with no reason...and after spending a month and a half testing every inch of my body, nothing came up, so as an alternative we will do a lapband. Thankfully my Dr. approved my date 1 week form today, leaving me little time to do all my research. I know everyone is different, and I noticed that the general rate of weight loss is slow...but please share your numbers with me, I am hoping to get a mental average for different sex and age groups I chose 4 weeks because I am going on a safari and would love to look good or better for the pictures Please feel free to share any advice you have ) Thank youuu
  8. My doctor didnt even require a preop diet...and when I asked here a few others had a similar experience...just begin a liquid diet anyway to be on the safe side ... maybe have an egg or Protein for Breakfast it helps ensure your alertness throughout the day.
  9. I thought the usual duration of staying in the hospital is one to two days; but my doctor just told me a minimum of three days and up to five.
  10. Your lucky, my weight didn't budge not 1 pound since I started my pre-op diet, no reason I just didn't loose. have no idea why FYI I am guessing your diet did what its suppose to "shrink your liver" ) so don't worry
  11. My uric acid level are a bit high, I learned that this might be a problem as my uric acid may increase even more after the operation. Has any1 had an elevated uric acid level before the operation? what happened after the operation?
  12. Thanks for that Recycled, I am going through the same emotional pre-appr phase; although I am approved but something was off in one of my tests so we are waiting to Wednesday...and I keep saying good bye to my best friend...so in short...I hope I continue to follow the same pattern/story as you did )
  13. My main concern is Water...I read its a comon nausea trigger which would be a problem for me as right now I dont really like to drink anything but water and Orange juice. Is water nausea that common?
  14. I noticed differences between people, and I am trying to determine what are the most common elements.
  15. Thank you Thank you Thank you You all have made me feel sooooo much better ) Appreciate your advice... I am kinda trying to do the diet, but I always end up eating however I did stop diet soda and reduced my sugar intake significantly.
  16. My Dr. doesn't think I need to do any pre-op diet, he told me if I want I can fast for 3 weeks on clear fluids; however he doesn't think it will help my case...The thing is I have a fatty liver, not enlarged but fatty. I am a bit worried, not sure if he is that good or that bad. Did any1's Dr. advise them to skip the pre-op diet? Did any1 decided to not do their own pre-opt diet? what were the results? Fyi...he is a well experienced, famous Dr.
  17. Hey all Im from Egypt and I just joined...about to schedule my appointment...Can you please tell me who were your Drs?
