  1. No major complications. Just extremely nauseous for about three days post op. My surgeon was dr Katz and I go see him tomorrow for my first post op appt.
  2. Not for me. Dr said it's rare to have a drainage tube.
  3. I was just sleeved by Katz Monday 4/7/14. Great experience so far. Do you go to support group at Springfield cc?
  4. I was dry heaving then throwing up bile for three days post op. Thankfully it passed! It was awfulllllll.
  5. Catheter, iv in the hand, another iv in the wrist. Very groggy and out if it. Can barely open your eyes but can hear everything going in around you.
  6. I HATED my experience at penn. I was treated like a number every time I walked in. When, by some chance, I was treated like a human, they treated me like I was a very stupid human. They never returned my calls and the travel into the city, parking, and finding the office was awful. I did half of my pre op testing there and finally transferred over to dr Katz at crozer. Waaaaaay better experience. So much easier and way supportive. I was sleeved 4/7/14 Whatever your choice, good luck!
  7. I work in the northeast and live in Delco. Sleeved on 4/7 at Crozer.
  8. Another veg here! You'll be fine. Just google "Protein in vegetables" and your mind will be filled with new food ideas! Sleeved 4/7/14
  9. Lol at we don't pump gas. Nah, I'm from Delaware county, pa.
  10. Glad I'm not alone! Hoagie and double choc chip cookie with an iced mocha latte from Wawa. Alas, clear liquids it is! Can't even have protein shakes yet!
  11. My surgery was 4/7. I am craving sweets, carbs, and fried food. Has anyone else had cravings this soon post op? When a commercial comes on tv or I smell something delish, I go crazy. I haven't eaten any bc i want to take care of myself.
  12. I showered the day I got home. It helped me to feel human again. The water did not hurt at all. Just don't rub the incisions and pat them dry.
  13. As long as you and your dr agree that you are healthy..... F em.
  14. I am 100% not at ALL interested in sex. I'm eight days post op. I don't feel the least bit sexy and if he tried to touch me I might slap him.
  15. I've no solid answer for you, sorry! I'm only one week out and I have become very sensitive to smells! Disgusting Fish, delicious foods, bad breath, hubby's farts, etc. I dry heaved when hubs cooked fish yesterday. I'd liken it to when I was pregnant.
  16. My dr recommended at least four weeks. I teach elementary school. I definitely could not keep up w those kids in my current state- one week out.
  17. First post here! I got sleeved 4/7also and I feel like I'm getting so much liquid. I can feel it as it gurgles through my belly and intestines and comes out again. . I feel the same way you do. I'm not allowed to go to stage two diet (protein shakes) until I see the doc again. It stinks. So much liquid but I always want more and more. I guess my point is that you're not alone! We are same day surgery sisters. Colleen
