  1. Question for all of you, I just started my pre-op diet today. I am currently taking prilosec (for acid reflux), synthroid (for my thyroid), a diuretic and cholesterol meds. And vitamins. What meds are you able to get rid of after surgery and how soon after? I was also taking phentermine, but I stopped a couple of weeks ago because I heard you should be of them awhile before surgery.
  2. I started my pre-op diet today. Protein Shake for breakfast and lunch, and a lean cuisine or other meal under 300 calories, under 15g of carbs and over 15g of protein for dinner.
  3. Diet day... oh boy! I can do this!
  4. Wow! I'm afraid I would have walked or and never went back. Life is too short to put up with that. :-/ I have only met with my surgeon once, but he was very nice and respectful. His nurse has been awesome and she was his 1st lapband patient years ago. But I knew all of this going in because he did a family members surgery.
  5. Hi all. I am new to the forum and found you all when I started looking for information. I have been approved for lapband and my surgery is set for March 17th. I start my pre-op diet on Monday, so this weekend is my last hoorah. I'm excited, but so nervous! For the Pre-op diet, is there a particular protein shake that people prefer? My surgeon's guidelines are a protein shake for breakfast, a protein shake for lunch, and a lean frozen meal for dinner (under 300 calories, under 15 grams of carbs and 15 grams or more of protein).
