  1. Wow! Reading through this post has been so helpful. I just had my surgery (sleeve) 5 days ago and I'm grateful for the information and experiences you all have shared. Like Escape_Pod I have always struggled with sugar. For me it is an addictive drug and having a little just makes me want more. I believe to be successful I will have to completely cut it out.

  4. Thanks FitnFab and Annasue! This helps. Annasue, have you felt pain or discomfort in lifting other things in the weeks following surgery?
  5. I am scheduled to have surgery on March 9th and I am a little worried about my surgeon telling me I shouldn't lift anything over 10 pounds for 6 weeks. My two year old is definitely not going to make that easy. Any advice from moms out there? Was lifting things after surgery really much of an issue? 6 weeks seems a little long... Other than this concern I'm incredibly excited about this journey! I'm on day 3 of my pre-op diet and knowing what I'm preparing for has made it easier to stick with. Thanks for any input.
