I was sleeved 4/4. Stayed in hospital 2 nights due to an allergic reaction to dermabond or anesthesia. Once home couldn't down all required fluids and Protein. 9 days post op it's easier to get more down. My incisions were very itchy and inflamed yesterday. I thought I was going to crazy! Went to urgent care and was put on heavy duty steroids. They have helped my itchiness about 75%. I also asked for IV fluids due to being dehydrated. Feel good. No real pain. Drive today and took my daughter to movies. Also went shopping because Tuesday starts puréed and soft food!!! I hope everyone is feeling stronger every day!!! I'm down 17 pounds and thrilled. Yea for us!!!!

Thanks everyone. It was only last night that I drank too much at one time. I'm soooo dehydrated. I have gone back to sips today. Thanks again for the support. I've worked so hard for this as we all have. I was just scared I did something irreversible.

Is it possible to stretch your pouch this early? I'm still on full liquids. I have been so thirsty with dark yellow urine. Last night I took several big drinks. It hurt at the time but now I can drink more than I have been able to since last weeks surgery without much pain. Did I ruin my sleeve???

Today is it. No more diarrhea. Just thirsty. Good luck to everyone. I love this site. I know I'm not alone!!!!!

Am I the only one? Help

Finished all of my pre-op appointments today. Surgery Friday!!! I'm in San Diego. I would love to communicate with recovering with me. Tomorrow is last day of liquid meals. I'm not even hungry because all I can think about is the end result. FRIDAY HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel the same. My surgery is Friday. Started liquid diet today. My partner is doing it too for support (she weighs 102). Right now I'm getting a pedicure, as usual feeling self conscious. I feel everyone looking at me and thinking how fat I am. So I have my earphones in my ears listening to music. I too feel weird eating out. We have all made the best decision to take our lives back. My eight year daughter is so excited for mommy to get healthy. She tells me all of her friends laugh at me when I pick her up from school. I hope to lose 70 pounds. I weigh 202 now. I welcome this lifestyle change. I think of all the great things to come.

I was actually told ti make pockets heavy. Bmi of 37 with mild sleep apnea. I got weighed once a month for six months. Gained a few myself but by the last weigh in had 2 two pound weights in my jacket pocket. Was approved. Surgery on April 4th!

Thanks!!! I have asked for six weeks. I work on a bone marrow/solid organ transplant unit. Hopefully it will be less time. If not I'm covered at work.

Just got my date. April 4th. I work 12 hour shifts, 3 days a week. I work on an inpatient unit in a hospital. How long were you other RNs out of work? I'm so excited.....
