  3. The only people that know I am getting this is my son and husband. I've discussed having the surgery with a close friend but she doesn't even know I'm getting sleeved on April 11th. I am not telling anyone at work..these people can be so freaking nosey about others personal lives. I just took PTO for 8 days and leaving it at that...when they start asking "duh, how you losing the weight" I plan on saying I'm on medifast & leave a couple of packets on my desk for the mosey as@&s!

  10. Hi April GSVs Today is one month for me to go...(April 11th) I'm SO nervous....but this will be OK, I know God is taking care of us all. Hey to our "Hoosier" ladies....I live in Las Vegas now but born and raised in Indy!!! Go Colts!!! And go weight....far-far away!!!
  11. One month from today is my big day and I am getting crazy nervous!!!!!
  12. I live in Las Vegas and I would have went to Dr. Umbach if he wasn't so expensive. I have no doubt he is the best - I have done a lot of research and Dr. Umbach is amazing. Selected as one of Las Vegas' best doctors and I believe US News also printed an article about him. Dr. Umbach did (not sure if he still does) perform surgeries in Mexicali. I selected Dr. Cabrera at Mi Doctor hospital in Tijuana because of price and experience. I feel 100% confident that everything will be great during surgery and my recovery will also be good. Best wishes to us all!
  13. I'm going to Dr. Cabrera in April - do you have any advice for the experience? Thanks.
  14. How was your experience with Dr. Cabrera???
  15. Congrats!!! Were you able to work a week after?
  16. I go to see my PCP March 21st I'll see what she says then - I don't feel like she will be supportive but it is what it is....if she isn't supportive after I recover I think it may be time to find a new PCP. I wish medicine in grow US would be a bit more flexible and understanding.
  17. Has anyone asked how to get a release "return to work" letter from our Doc.'s in Mexico?
  18. Hi again. I'll be at the Marriott on Thursday, April 10th - my surgery is the 11th - I will be in TJ until the 15th. Would like to talk with you about our experience. When do you arrive?
  19. Having surgery in Mexico and will if I turn in my FMLA forms, I'll need to doctor's release to return to work. Has anyone been able to obtain this form from your doctor in Mexico? Please advise!!! Thank you.
  20. Hello my name is Ellen I just need a little help with this situation- My company PTO actually does mean personal time off per our employee handbook - we can use PTO any way we want - do anything with our time if the time off has been approved. My PTO has been approved from Thursday April 10-Tuesday April 22nd. I am having surgery on Friday April the 11th in TJ coming back home on the 15th. My doctor has completed my FMLA and my Return to work forms. That is great.... But I do not want to turn those in because when I do people at work will find out exactly what kind of surgery I am having and I have not told anyone at work what I am doing....I don't want anyone to know. I do work at a quasi government place but all of the "executives" talk about all of us and I know my info will get out...I just know it will....it always does. Do I take the chance that going back to my desk job 12 days after my surgery and leave early if I need to (I can do that -it isn't a problem) or do I submit all the forms to HR and taking chances? Please give me your advice....thank you all!
  21. Have you selected a surgeon yet?
