Hi susanblue, I've Ben unable to get any replied or support on this forum. It's mostly for Americans, I think. I've found a wonderful support group on facebook. It's called "Weightloss Surgery New Zealand". It's a secret group, so the public cant read the posts, and there's several hundred members. They've organized regional support coffee groups and I've had so many of my fears allayed and questions answered. Join in - perhaps I'll see you on tu losers bench soon! :-)

I once bent over in a shop to pick up my daughter's pacifier and my big butt knocked a line of glasses off a shelf. Every single one of them smashed. I was so embarrassed, when the store clerk came to help, I claimed my daughter had done it.

Hi there, anyone from NZ still hanging around the threads? I'm being sleeved on June 5th at ChCh WLS. Very nervous, and aside from a few people I spoke to around two years ago when I first started looking into surgery, I've not had anyone else to talk to about this at all. Was hoping to have a chat with some Kiwis who had it done or are thinking about it.

Hi there, Is anyone in this community having/had WLS in New Zealand? If so what has been your experience, what weight loss centre did you use, and did you pay privately or go through the DHB? I'm going for my preop checks in Christchurch next week, and although I've talked to a lot of people overseas, I've yet to meet anyone who's been through Gastric Sleeve here. Any help would be appreciated!
