My BCBS NJ is now active. I will see the doctor on the 23rd... very optimistic about it.

I have BCBS NJ and also going to a center of excellence... Hoping for a fast approval.

Haven't had pain in two days.

I feel your pain... My job changed insurance too so as of April 1 I have no coverage for bariatric surgery under my employer's health plan. I opted out and purchased my own hoping that I will get approval now in April it May and hope for a summer surgery. It is not easy it's torture but time will pass and you will get it done.

I just hope I get my approval this fast!!!!

Hi all... I'm scared to have surgery now because of stomach pain. It's kind of intermittent and it feels as If my stomach is being twisted in there right under my left rib. I had an EDG done in Jan 2014 and Doctor said all I have is acute gastritis. Does anyone here suffers from this and does it feel like a muscle is being twisted? Also I noticed I started getting this pain back in Nov 2013 when I went thru a period of high stress... Any inputs? Thanks in advance!!

Yes, I called Horizon BCBS NJ and they told it is covered...it also says it on the benefits covered. I just hope Im lucky like you lol

How long did it take to get a date after you were approved by your insurance? I'm going to JFK.... How are you feeling? How was your overall experience?

Was it difficult to get a surgery date with him?
