  1. I had my surgery on April 21st, and I've already lost 21 lbs! I had it at Hackensack Hospital, and my surgeon was Dr. Garth Ballantyne. I was in quite a bit of pain, and had to stay an extra day due to the fact tha I was extremely nausious, and didn't have anything to drink until the next day. As the days went by, the pain became less and less, and now I don't have any! I'm still on liquids, and will start pureed this Friday (YUM). At times it becomes difficult to deal with, but I am determined to make this work. I feel that the surgery is only 50% of the weight loss process. You really have to be mentally ready to do this. Good luck to everyone! PS I grew up in Lyndhurst too, and am living in Butler now.
  2. Alexander, I just had my band surgery 2 weeks ago. I would love to participate in the banster's bash weekend. I am new to this web site, and am glad there is support out there, especially from people who live so close to me ( Butler). Mary
