  1. I had my surgery on 02-17 and am about 6 weeks post op. My total weightloss is 45 lbs so far! I haven't posted much about my experiences post surgery. It has been hard but this is the best thing I could have ever done! I can cross my legs like a lady now lol... My current weight is 240, I started at 285. I can eat and drink just about anything without difficulty BUT I don't. I follow the diet religiously and am exercising now. First day post op I was drugged up and didn't remember much and my mouth was extremely dry(I couldn't drink a thing)! They gave me these sponges on a stick to moisten my mouth and lip balm. I had a pretty good hospital experience. The first two weeks post op were most difficult for me because of the soreness mostly. By the end of the second week I was done with the liquid diet, just sick of it.
  2. So far it's been very information and loads of questions and fears answered, what a great support system????
  3. I feel a lot better after reading through everyone's comments.
  4. I also have the surgery on Feb 17th at 7am!! I am so excited and nervous. I joined this forum because I have no one here that I can share this experience with. Everyone I know is thin and doesn't understand what our struggle is like. I've been overweight all my life and look forward to a healthy future. Almost a week away.... Aaaahhhh!
  5. Thank you soo much, makes me feel a whole lot better!
  6. I've just had my Endoscopy done today. Best sleep I've had in a while lol. They did tell me that I have a little irritation in my stomach(gastritis) and took a sample. I am worried that this is going to prevent me from having the surgery on the 17th. Has anyone had their procedure delayed due to this?
