  1. That's the sweetest thing ever! I'm so happy for you guys! Now if everyone else's man or woman felt like that then it wouldn't be that much pressure. For my case I don't want to be saggy for myself although I do care what my boyfriend thinks of me I dont want to be saggy for me. I'm having surgery for me.
  2. Kudos to you! Seems like you have it all together lol I want to be just like you! My boyfriend is very encouraging so he may be okay with it but I'm not.
  3. NO !!! I have spent two days trying to find a good one but I'm not liking any :/ any recommendations ?Yea I've tried a lot. The only that's decent in almost everything is
  4. yes of course!! :-) good luck with your journey !! I will definitely keep you updated on everything. I'm from Texas, 24 . I'm actually traveling to ATL in two weeks ! Whoop whoop! Thanks! That would be amazingly helpful( not sure if that even makes sense lol lol ). I'm so excited for my new life. Have you decided which Protein powder or drinks you will use?
  5. you and I almost are in the same boat ! I get sleeved March 3rd :-)Awesome!! Congrats on your surgery date. You will definitely experience all this almost a month before me so if you wouldn't mind we could be surgery buds :-). Just let me know I'm 21 live in ATL,GA
  6. Justicenga it's so scary. I talked to my surgeon last week about it and she said I should be fine but working out and water is key.
  7. Yes that's where I seem to be. It's all worth it in the end so I can't complain.
  8. Well this is my third time in 3 years doing this process so I've done everything in the book. The first time I started my 6 month diet and half way through they said it wasn't covered. The second time I had a surgery date of November 5 2012 and a week before my insurance company called and said there was an exclusion. This time my insurance company does cover it and March will be my 6th month of the supervised diet. I have to go to one last meeting explaining what to expect and pre/post diet etc. Then a $600 program fee. I've done my psych eval, upper GI barium test, EKG, and have had my PCP send in a medical necessity letter.
  9. Welcome to a while new world! This app is amazing and people really do care. Congrats on your 24th date it's coming fast and I know I'm excited so i can only imagine you lol. I think it would be awesome to be surgery buds so we can share different experiences while on the same journey. We can help each other!
  10. I'm just hoping for the best and if push comes to shove I will just have to have to evaluate at that point.
  11. Okay so I have to go for a group class to get some info for pre and post op diet and pay the $600 program fee. I think for the most part I'm mentally and physically ready but I don't think that's an experience you can be fully prepared for because of various reasons. The biggest reason is you won't know fully until you've been through it. As far as the pain goes my surgeon has said she will put a bulb with numbing meds in my largest incision. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it to you but everyone said it has helped tremendously and they use less oral pain meds.
  12. Thanks so much Lynn! I hope you're right lol
  13. I just realized you joined last night....yay me too lol. Anyway, do u have a date yet or have you had the procedure? What's your goal weight (ideal)? No I haven't had the procedure yet however I will be sleeved on the 24th of March! I literally have a couple of things left to do then I will be able to just focus on the date. I haven't picked out a specific weight but I wouldn't want to go under 150 because I'm curvy. I'm 5'7 so I don't want to be too skinny. I'm mixed so I think I'll still have my curves but ill just have to see as I go. You?
  14. Girl yesssssssssss!!!!! I am more excited (right now) that I have ppl who know the struggle, pain, heartache, jokes, desire and love affair with food I''ve had forever. Girl bikini or one piece, we are gonna be hella fine!!!!!!! #trueYou have never lied the struggle has been real for a longgggg time. I'm so glad I now see there are people are out there with the same struggle and I am not alone!
  15. Lol I'm sorry I don't know because I want to be healthy but for damn sure I want to look better and feel better about myself. Though I'm not aiming for a bikini, as sexy little one piece wouldn't hurt.Readyanxiousscared you are hilarious!! I'm with you all the way and then some lol I've waited so long for this.
  16. So I think those wraps might really work and if you're like me and are willing to try anything....it's worth a try.Omg yessss I will try anything!!! What wraps are you talking about?
  17. Thanks guys! I'm 21 so I think my age with do me well however my arms are rather large so I'm super concerned about that area. I know my legs will be fine I'm curvy so not to much fat just in the stomach area. I've heard massages help I'm not sure how but I've seen some pretty successful people that's proven that. I'll do whatever it takes and I think that will take me a long way.
  18. Pahahahahahahahahaha yea that's what I meant lol lol lol
  19. Hevnbound lol it's so scary and BKLYNgal thanks for the info I guess I'm hoping to find a remedy to make the chances slimmer
