  1. Are u saying u have to be on a liquid diet for 30whole days??????
  2. I dont know where to begin... This post was beyond mind blowing. To feel understood to the core of the experience and thank you wholeheartedly for that. Its one thing to have support but your post resonates so much deeper because I feel like I'm failing and I haven't even began. I have been sabotaging myself with no clue as to why and as the time goes on I feel like this life saving shit not gonna happen. I need this!!!!! And yet I can't do right. I'm scared
  3. I'm slightly reluctant to say this because I haven't been sleeved yet but is anybody in the Chicagoland area interested in an actual face to face support meeting?
  4. You do of course look phenomenal. Have u ever been this small? I ask because your face looks completely different and Im wondering how my face will look because I've never been small/thin. I'm hope my question makes sense.
  5. You look soooooo good!!!! Bet you never imagined, huh? I'm proud of and for You. Are you from Chicago?
  6. Boo I think it's in your best interest to just stop. Telling him or her is not the most important. I say stop because you have no idea what kind of tests they perform with blood or urine. Don't prolong what you want over a blunt. I was told I had to be nicotine free for 3mo because smoking could like really kill me so I decided to quit both.
  7. Wow I can't even imagine what it feels like to not care about food. I'm thinking about breakfast now.....damn I need that sleeve!!!!!
  8. Girlfriend i had to figure out that is what this forum is for, a safe place to express the things we think and feel that our family and friends may not understand. Hell I thought all overweight ppl felt the same about weight loss and/or an addiction to food but I have learned that is not the case. You made a decision to take thee step, the one that jump started the divorce proceedings between you and food. Your fam will love you for it and you will too just give it time. I have a strong belief that the pleasure you find in being smaller and healthier will eventually take the place of mourning a faithful yet harmful friend...FOOD.
  9. Tell me more about the mental and emotional struggle. I too have been fat all my life and even when I would loose 20lbs and 've the smallest I've ever been I still felt as if I was at my largest.

  11. Macman, How did that work, Have BCBSIL and having the procedure done in another state? I'm slightly confused on the deductible and am not sure what I will have to pay out of pocket.
  12. Beckyloo4, What institution are you using? Where are u in this process? Please tell me more as. I too have BCBSIL and am using UIC.
  13. Don't you ever let anyone tell you #4 is shallow or vain. We ALL have that one person who we want to see us once we've reached a point where we are not only comfortable but feel completely fabulous.
  14. I can't wait to buy sexy panties and bras from Victoria secret. I also just want to try everywhere I can because I've been limited to lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, torrid, and old navy online. Can't wait branch out!
  15. Damn that was what I needed to hear! Thank you very much!
  16. I am not in any way afraid of dying on the table or possible complications. At this point there is no talking me out of it nor scaring with outrageous facts. HOWEVER, I am afraid that I won't succeed. I am afraid my old eating habits will resurface at some point. Hell, before that point I am concerned about eating healthier, I have never done this before. I was told to not gain a pound and yet I gained 7....WTF! I am scared to stay this way but just even more so that I won't know how to maintain it. I can see a new me but this fucking process is borderline discouraging.... #prepre-opsucks
  17. Hey guys! I was thinking on my way to work about some of the comments I've read since starting this journey. Many ppl have stated both on here and on Facebook that for them this was never about being thin/slim. I believe these ppl are in denial especially if they have never been thin/slim. I will be extremely honest about what I want from this procedure because this is a safe place and I feel there are too many ppl who feel the same. I desire to wear a size that does not limit where I shop I desire to see my feet when I look down I want to be able to pull my knees to my chest I want to NOT FEEL AS IF EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT THE FAT GIRL THAT JUST ENTERED THE ROOM, and FEELING JUDGED especially with a group of skinny bitches I want to go up several flights of stairs without falling out once I reach the top I want to see my damn collar bone THE MOST IMPORTANT REASONS.... 1. I want to be rid of the damn PCOS and they weight loss is the only way 2. I want to have babies one day 3. I want my future children to have a healthy mom to look up to
  18. Hi! I am in the process, I've been cleared by my dietician, have the psyc eval on 3/11 and hopefully my last meeting with NUT and another meeting with my surgeon on 3/19 to clarify that I want the sleeve and not bypass. Because I was a smoker my surgeon required I be nicotine free for 3mo. before the surgery. I waiting told that because I have BCBS IL that insurance wouldn't be a major issue and would be approved quickly. I am praying for a May surgery date. Oh I am having it done @ UIC by Dr. Elli
  19. I expect to grow into a confidence that I've never had. I expect to appreciate the little changes. I expect to take a pic weekly. I expect to feel as if a.daily burden I've lived with is gone. I expect to be able to cross my legs and wear shorter skirts (not stank...lol). I expect to be a little more fashionable. I expect to LOVE myself in my skin
  20. That's awesome! When will you be sleeved?
  21. Has anybody gained weight since seeing NUT?
  22. How many appts did u have with her?
  23. Keekee Girl I definitely understand what you are experiencing. With surgery months away (feels like years) I feel as if the cravings for every bad food choice have gotten stronger. I was told to not gain another pound after I weighed in at 298 but I am definitely doing the exact opposite. I do not know how to get it together. And the whole no cigarettes is a chore in its self... JUST SLEEVE ME ALREADY!!!!!! Lbvs
  24. Hi Hawaii Josh I was told by my surgeon I would need 3mo cigarette free. Of course initially I thought my increasing desire for the surgery would be enough motivation....yea right...after that session I got in my car and lit up. However, as of today I am 19days no cigarettes. I come from smoking a pk daily (Newport 100's) for 10yrs to absolutely nothing expect a craving here and there. My doctor prescribed WellButrin@ 300mgs and if you aren't against medication I would highly recommend trying it. I never thought I would go a day without a cigarette and now I actually can.
  25. Hi! I have not had it done yet but that is my hospital. Welcome!
