  1. hey, it's really scared now that i've lost about 50 pounds that i can lift my entire skin on my stomach and see these little hips beneath it all.... i'm considering some plastic surgery for my skin but i'm nervous about it all... what was your definite deciding factor... i'm even hearing from some people that tummy tucks mess with your lymphatic system
  2. i had the same issue.. i work out like crazy..and i've been the same weight for a month now,,, i'm increasing my weight training and i'm eating more than before,, per the advice of my fitness consultant at the gym, she was right... the weight seems to slowly want to come off again, i've just got to persist...and not let the eating more get out of control.. good luck and keep me posted
  3. i'm refocusing on being op......i've not been op for most of the week,,, and i cannot allow myself to repeat the past... i need to focus on my accomplishments so far and avoid the negative.. i'm already down 50... i will do this...
  4. how quickly we forget where we come from,, that's what's wrong with society... we are so quick to forget compassion.. yes i hurt.. i was not in discomfort,,,I HURT !!!! yes i stumbled and made mistakes and i didn't have the family support that some have and so i turned here to only later read this post to only be criticized for reaching out with "stupid questions" ... not everyone who has this surgery has it to lose a few pounds.. some have this surgery to save their lives !!! some have this surgery knowing their loved ones are only going to look down on them... since when is being scared and wanting to learn being dramatic?.... just having this outlet to come and share and learn from others has helped turmoil and soothed fears for some.... just because you feel like you are now a veteran in the war on obesity and have now mastered the lap-band doesn't mean you are immune and invincible from what you may call... "stupid and dramatic moments" as stated from above "IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU"

  8. i had surgery on Aug 2nd, 2007 and I still have occasional shoulder pains,, sometimes it's almost unbearable.. i was told by fellow bandsters at the support group that it's normal to have that with the band for quite some time,,, hang in there give yourself a couple of weeks and you will be so happy that you stuck it out..
  9. My doctor and his staff and very strict about the no cereal and soup rule... they say it causes the food to go right through the funnel and you end up eating much more...
  10. i had surgery 3 weeks ago and i went into starbuck when i was on full liquids and got a frappachino... they were able to make it decaf for me.. of course i had it without the whip cream though... but it was delicious.. and very low in fat ....
