  1. Count me in... Had my sleeve done last week on may 23... Everything went well but the nausea and dry heaves nearly kicked my butt.... Even though I was taking all the meds they could give me, I still got so sick so ended up staying in the hospital 3 days bc I couldn't keep anything down in my own... Crazy.... But home now, no more nausea, doing shakes and liquids, haven't taken pain meds for the last 25 hours... So far so good... Excited to be in this journey... It's amazing to feel physical restriction when drinking or eating soft foods...I never seemed to ever feel that so would always over eat bc something tastes so good... Such a surreal feeling now... Very exhausted though When does the energy come back ?? Paula

  3. Hello everyone... My surgery is this upcoming Friday... I'm looking forward to this new journey, but scared too about post-op... I have three young children so am a bit concerned how recovery will go with them... Looking forward to getting to know you all better on this journey! Best of luck!!
  4. I'm a newbie too... I researched bariatric centers in my area... Once I decided in place, I calle to set up an initial appt... At that point they took my insurance info and called to determine my insurance eligibility... That was key for me... Since they "speak the insurance language," they were able to cut to the chase and get the numbers for me... I'm currently in the diet/nutritionist phase since my insurance requires 90 days of supervised diet... So I'm hoping for an April or early May surgery day... Fingers crossed... Good luck
