(To whomever may read this bio) Hi! My name is Nykki and I found this site on Google while looking for a healthy support system. I just never got the chance to use it. But I'm here now! My weight loss journey has been a bit rough, but I am just now getting over the bumpy road, and starting to tolerate a little more at a time.

When I started this journey, I was 247 pounds and that was my heaviest. It was also the hardest time in my life. I often sat and pondered whether I should even entertain the idea of having the surgery, or continue to suffer in pain with the acid reflux, aching and popping of the joints. I came to a conclusion that evening before bed that I was doing this to save my life and that I am not a cheater. The good part of the surgery is that for one, it was successful! Two, I recovered very quickly and was able to get back into the swing of things. However, the bad part was that, my gallbladder attacked two weeks post op. That was certainly painful and depressing. No one can actually put into words what that feels like, I was not ready!

Anyway, I am a mother, wife and business woman. When I get a chance, I want to be alone. I think better in solitude...but I realized I can't do this alone. There are still things that go on that I can't seem to grasp onto and no one around me can understand what I'm feeling because they have not experienced what I've been through on this journey.
