  1. I'm sure everything will be fine. I imagine everyone gets nervous before having the surgery done. I look forward to mine in late August/early September. Best of luck to you!

  3. Hi Ally... I too am in FL and have access to many local docs thatt do WLS; however, my employer has an exclusion on WLS. I am working really hard right now in overtime to save enough $$$$ to be able to afford to go to Mexico by mid year. Keep me posted on your decision and I'll keep you posted on my $$$$ to goal and who knows, maybe we will end up going at the same time.

  6. I have CIGNA and have been told that that their is no "rider" for WLS on my plan. I was also told that it is not listed as an "exclusion". Does anyone know exactly what this means? Is it not covered, period - end of story?? Thanks for any insight you may have!

  10. Brandy, Thank you for the info. I will get in touch with them next week.
  11. Hi Sherry! I was looking at Dr Illan's website and don't see information on their fee schedules and/or total costs in Mexico. Is there a different site to look at to see this? I have insurance through CIGNA and bariatric surgery is not an "exclusion" but it's not a "rider" that my employer has on its plan, so I'm not certain what this means to me. I don't know if it's a definite "NO" or if it could be appealed. Trying to look at other options but need some help getting info. Thanks in advance for any info you may have & by the way - you look fantastic!
