  1. I'm 5 days post- op, I have my first visit with my doctor in 2 days, I'm still on Blood pressure meds. I have experienced some tachycardia and my blood pressure it's still high even if I take my meds. Do any of you know if this is normal?
  2. I can feel your pain!!! Yesterday I sucked on a piece of carrot that had been seasoned and baked! Just got the flavor lol I did spit it out but I just needed something beside chicken broth!! My surgery was 1/23 and I can move to puréed goods on 2/5 I'm Looking forward to be able to eat something with more substance!
  3. I am aware and happy of the new restrictions, I am Just looking forward to not having to drink protein shakes, I really dislike them (all flavors) I can hopefully replace them soon, I'll have to check with my doctor and I Cannot wait to be able to at least get out of the liquid phase.
  4. Geez! You are a trooper, I am being very careful on my portions and so far liquids are easy, I know that the portions will decrease drastically, in definitely looking forward to an actual chewable meal lol
  5. I think you can try unsweetened almond or coconut milk I don't like regular milk so I use alternates, hope this helps!
  6. My doctor put me on 4 days clear liquid followed by 10 days of full liquids, on day 15 I can start purée for 14 days so it depends on your doctor. I'm only 4 days after surgery, I'm hating every second of it, I love drinking water but actual "food" like soups, jello, protein shakes just make me sick! Good luck!!!
  7. I had surgery on 1/23/14 and I'm also required to have lovenox shots for 7 days, but only once a day, good luck!!!
  8. Yes this liquid diet is tough, my surgery was on 1/23 so I'm on liquids till feb 5th! At least then I can have purée and more flavorful foods, good luck to you!
  9. My doctor let me eat whatever I wanted until the day before the surgery, so I had sushi! Stayed away from any pork or red meats.
