Hello I am a newbie. My name is Tamiko. I am married and we had a set of 4 yr old twin boys. I have been dealing with my weight for quite some time. I say for over 15yrs. My weight is like a yo yo it is up and down. I need that extra tool to help me will I am trying to become fit and healthy. Not only am I doing this for me but I am also doing this for my family. My boys are picking up bad eating habits and that is all my fault but I can change it. I have to start with me first. So this is my start. My surgery date is January 29,2014 I am excited but nervous too. Hey I quite sure I am not the only one who felt like this but I have the Good Lord above on my side and he will be with me. I have a great support system also my husband , parents , brother , and friends. I just want to be a great example for my boys and my poor health is not one. So I am ready for a lifetime change. I had a difficult journey my original date was 11/20/2013. I was going to have the gastric bypass. While I was on the table the doctor discovered a growth, spots, and swollen lymph nodes on my liver and spots on my spleen. He asked a couple of specialist to take a look at my liver. It was a benign tumor (Thank God). So my surgery was postponed until I see the liver tumor specialist. I went through a bunch of testing everything came back normal Thank God. So I decided to switch over to the gastric sleeve after that. Not only will I have the gastric sleeve I will also have this tumor removed and tested. I know my story is long and probably all over the place but I had to share my story. Thanks and God Bless.
