  1. CHRISTINE :bounce:thanks, loads for the information about TJ. I have been worried about all sorts of stuff. Yes I will be there on the day following surgery. Also on the day after that as my plane doesn't leave until 7pm. So, I'm going to have some time on my hands and if I feel like it, I'd like to shop or something like walking around the area. That mini tour sounds great too. I'm having trouble with the diet. I only lost a pound. I got ravishingly hungry, yesterday and ate a whole bowl of diet chocolate pudding (2 cups). Today seems that I have put on the pound I lost. My metabolizim is screwed up because I have hypothyroidism. I think it has been quite a while since I've had my last test to see if I'm taking enough medicine. Anyone know if that will effect surgery? Those blood tests they do, what are they for??
  2. elinrw forgot to say that I am due for banding on Tue the 11th. What you have to say sure helps me with the jitters..........
  3. elinrw Today I just read on another thread that someone's doctors cut off age is 55 and she asked him why and he said something about life expectancy. Like us over 55 don't want to live our lives as healthy and long as we can. Crazy.
  4. I was just reading about the fills and it said that you don't feel the restriction until two weeks after the fill is done. Possibly that is the problem
  5. OH my Gosh I think I fixed it......YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  6. Poohlrv I think it is this new windows Vista and all the internet security stuff it has. I need to figure out (among a hundred choices) what in my browser, Vista or Norton is keeping me from displaying the URL. Anyone else have the New Vista?
  7. skinnyd That's interesting what your doc said. I'm a self pay and am going to DR. Gonzales of TJ, Mexico. He's done several thousand of them.
  8. KatMeg perhaps if you skin the tomatoe and put it thru the blender.
  9. Tinker I tried so hard today to keep the calories down, way down, and I got so hungry that I finally made me and instant diet chocolate pudding. Somehow I need to conquer hunger from taking over.
  10. Hey all, I'm from New Mexico. Silver City. My kids live in ABQ and I visit often. ANY one from Silver City area or possibly Deming?
  11. I'm reading the FAQ 's which I should have done when i first joined.
  12. poohlvr I went to signature under my profile and everything I do I come up with 'invalid' I know computers well. This is about totaly frustrating. I put my code on an empty web page and it, the image, came right up.
  13. PoolLVR thnaks loads. Lets see if I can get it to stick
  14. VIKKI goof information. Now I understand what will be going on much more.thanks
  15. :help::help: I went to the Ticker Factory and made myself a ticker. How do you get it to attach to the page. ?? Do you use the code: ??
  16. sweetviolet yes, and it must be the younger doc's who feel that way. Just wait until they 'hit over the hill 55' and see how ready they are to give up life!
  17. CLARAMAE :clap2:Right on!!!! I'm amazed that some doc.'s feel that is you are over 55 then life is not worth living longer or healthier. WOW. I went to the ticker factory.com and made a ticker, now I cannot figure out where to place the code for my ticker. <a href="Weight Loss - Diet Ticker"> <img border="0" src="<A href="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wvZA8yx/weight.png"></a">http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wvZA8yx/weight.png"></a> Put it there to see if anything shows up. Also I tried to get it to work in my profile
  18. VIKKI Thanks for that info on post band hunger. I find that it takes a good amount of food to get that satisfied feeling. I take a prescription called Seroquil and everyone gains weight on it because it takes away that feeling of satiation. But when I get the band, I'm hoping it will counteract the Seroquil. That is what I will love 'getting that satisfied feeling after a few bites of food".
  19. PCracker I've been on my pre-op diet for 4 days and lost one pound. Hunger gets to me on this diet. So I can expect to not be hungry after my banding? sept/11 band date
  20. CLAREMAE I've heard about doctors making 55 the cut off point for the band. I wonder why? people older than 55 go through all sorts of surgeries :faint:I'll be 63 in 2 1/2 months. But my doc is doing my band in the hospital rather than his surgery center.
  21. Dynamo Boy, do I understand where you are coming from about slow weight loss. I've been on my pre-op liquid diet for 4 days and have lost 1 pound!!! At first I lost 3 pds and then today I gained 2 back. Part of my problem is lack of excersize. I have a back problem that only lets me stay on my feet for 7 minutes then it kicks in and I can't bear the pain. But I can go to Wally World and push a cart around for hours. Only thing I can figure is that I am redistributing my weight to the cart?
  22. MistyMoon :)thanks..... I have only lost 3 pds. It seems just about impossible for me to lose. :nervous Hope your surgery went well for you today. We'll probably be hearing from you in a couple of days. Denise :bounce: hooraY How I hope my surgery goes like yours. claramae post me that over 60 link as I've been looking 4 it 2.
