  1. I was approved within 48 hours of submittal! From start to finish my entire process took about 6 weeks.
  2. I won't be having my gallbladder out either. I've never had any problems but my surgeon puts his patients on meds to prevent gallbladder problems.
  3. How exciting. I can't believe its getting close!! I don't think its totally hit me yet!
  4. Hi! I am on the 16th as well.my pre op Appt is may 28th
  5. Mine is also for a week but no food at all. 3 protein shakes and we get to have a piece of fruit if we need something to chew on.

  7. I thought I would add my 2 cents. I am having surgery next month and I felt the same way. I had people tell me I was taking the easy way put,that I would become malnourished. I am 28 years old and not living life. I don't go put ,I'm on all kinds of meds and I'm unhealthy. I want to live. I want to be there for my future grandchildren. This surgery is saving my life in so many way. Good luck on whatever decision you make

  9. I am pre op (surgery next month) and ive put dating off for a bit. When I get settled ,I am going to join match.com

  11. My mom said it was too drastic. She since then went to my surgeons appt and is totally on board now
  12. I have bcbs of il and I had to get an approval letter before having insurance. Most insurances require it. I have noticed that bcbs tends to have quicker approvals. I got my approval 48 hours after it was submitted. Best of luck to you!

  15. I am having surgery next month. i have only been with my employer for 6 months so I don't qualify for fmla. My job has short term leave. I will be taking 2 weeks off and will receive 75% of my pay. It isnt 100% pay but better than nothing .

  19. My friend had the sleeve and she dumps on sugary and high fat foods. It can happen
  20. With the sleeve you will still need Vitamins the rest of your life.
  21. My surgeons office still does them , but he was telling me that in the last year he has done very few lapbands...my doctor is one of the best surgeons in the u.s. and that is def saying a lot. I also knew that with my work schedule,I did not have time to go in for fills.

  23. How long is everyone's pre op diets? Mine will be 1 week. Thanks for the congrats ladies . I hope you are all doing well. Warm up that losers bench for me,ill be there soon.
