  1. I am 14 months post-LBS, and I don't think anyone will tell you that "there were NO problems" with this surgery. The reason I got this surgery is because I had problems eating too much, too fast, not good choices, emotional eating....etc etc. So I think that this surgery had to 're-educate' me to eat slowly, don't eat too much, eat the right foods. Sometimes I am a fast learner... and a few times I have had to learn the hard way. So it depends on how comitted you are to learning a new way to eat. This isn't the magic pill we all want, this is teaching us something as basic as chew! chew! chew! Good luck in your descision,
  2. I am 14 months Post LBS, I had reflux before my surgery but not since. HAPPY DAYS! I had been on Nexxium/the little purple pill and several others and now- GONE!
  3. I am 14 months Post LBS, and have "only" lost 36 pounds but it was the best thing that I have ever done for myself. I am still losing (only about 1.5 # per month) I am 57 years old and wish that I had done this earlier. I have had all of the temporary problems that have been described in this forum, and have learned that I needed to change my eating HABITS. Eating too fast, eating too much, drinking while eating, :thinkeating while nervous or upset, eating "for other people". I would do it again.
