  1. Oh man. The day after tomorrow?! Yay! I'm so excited for my new buddies to be on the other side of this!
  2. Maybe he's not so old looking in person. You would have to meet him to find out. Do you think SuperFab is sleeping? I hope she gets some rest before that long drive! And you're this week too, right?!
  3. Just applied for approval. Surgery was last week and I have Anthem BC for health and CVS/Caremark for Rx. Fingers crossed!
  4. Ahahahahaha! Poor guy. He likes you.
  5. Oh gosh. Yeah. My little brother is 23 and when his friends come around and I hear about them graduating college or getting engaged or something I feel old too.
  6. How is it that the little sisters are always then skinny ones?! Lol. Thank God I have brothers.
  7. Of course. I wouldn't want to cause problems. But it's good to know if you needed to take further action or not. It's disheartening that he wouldn't take you seriously sooner. Thank God for the ER docs!
  8. You crack me up too! Lol. Is your roommate supportive of your surgery?
  9. SuperFab, how are you? Getting that last minute packing done? Hopefully you get a little rest tonight!
  10. My NUT said no to juicing. However, I will still do it. I am only four days post-op but I tried juicing after pregnancy and it helped my weight and I felt satisfied. My NUT said juicing is bad for sleeves because you're not actually eating the Fiber. But I know I won't be eating enough fruits and veggies for their fiber anyway, which is why they recommend benefiber and other fiber supplements. I also am not a fan of artificial sweeteners. I never drink sodas (diet or reg), and won't touch things like crystal light and propel. I love real Water and real foods. I do a variety of citrus fruits in my water pitcher every day. Let me know his juicing goes for you. I'm still on Clear liquids through week 2 so it'll be a while before I am juicing.
  11. Buahahaha!!!! Love having silly friends!
  12. Thanks for keeping us updated! Walking at all is great. Way to go!
  13. Yes. Everyone says the first few weeks are for learning.
  14. In the next year I want to take some nice photos that I'm proud of.
  15. If its an infection you should be asking your surgeon the possible causes. Make sure he didn't do anything wrong. He may have done a perfect, textbook sleeve surgery and it could just be something you picked up in the hospital and took a few days to present itself. But you should find out. Good luck in healing.
  16. I want water but nothing else. I feel so lethargic and by the end of the day because I know I'm not getting enough protein.
  17. I haven't even put them up yet. But I was so shocked I couldn't handle having my face on that photo!
  18. Ha! I took my before pics day 1 of my liquids. Let me tell you how wonderful I looked. *supermodel* status all the way. Lol! I think I made my husband cut my head out of them. Buahahahaha.
  19. I had the sleeve four days ago. So far I'm doing great. I'm still struggling to gain the balance of Protein and Water. I also had my band placed in 2009, then had it removed in March 2013. I simply wasn't ready for another WLS at the time. When I was finally ready I went back to my surgeon in December and was sleeved Thursday 2/13. Good luck to you. I personally feel going from band to sleeve is easier. We have an idea of what to expect with a smaller stomach. And how we do with surgery. You're at an advantage having had the band. Even if it didn't pan out.
  20. Here's a motivator. In the next year I want _______. I understand the packing issue. I didn't pack until the last minute. I had a pile of stuff I collected over a few days but I didn't really put much effort into it until the day before. Lol.
  21. You are going to do great! In 24 hours it will all be over. You got this! Remember....I want to _________ in the next year. (Giving you a more short term want to) You can do it!!!
  22. Can't wait to hear from you post-op! It's almost here!!! We are rooting for you!
