  1. Dr. Keith McEwen is great. He has such a good bedside manner and has done more Lap-Bands in Indiana than any other surgeon. The number of surgeries he has performed is what impressed me the most when I was searching for a surgeon, hen once I met him he was so friendly and understanding that it cinched the deal. I would reccommend him to anyone!
  2. I went to Dr McEwen in Fishers. 70 off. I would research the docs carefully. Sometimes close does not mean the same as supportive:)
  3. Dr McEwen is usually about $16500.00 sometimes if you are healthy $15500.00. Total out patient. You can see he is the only surgeon flagged on the www.lapband.com site for performance. I paid cash and it was $16500.00 then but my friend had hers more recent and was $15700.00 Banded in 2007- 90 off:) No problems:thumbup:
  4. I hope you had a good surgery day. Dr McEwen was my surgeon also. THe surgery center was great. Yep you are right about St Vincent....the big bypass processing plant. Everyone in the waiting area was BYPASS. They looked at me like I was an idiot when I said I was getting a BAND. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. Yep it took more work..but hey anything worth having is worth working hard for:) Any way, you will not be a number at dr mcewen's office. I am amazed that cheryl always seems to know everyone's name at group night as soon as they come in...it is wierd but in a good way. I LOVE MY BAND AND MY SURGEON!
  5. just found out my friend is having surgery with Dr Keith McEwen in INdianapolis. His new fee is $15650 with the year of follow up.
  6. my surgeon also...private payer....love it. would not trade Dr MCEwen and his staff for the world. Sorry just been busy lately....with less weight...more energy...less time on the computer..more time with the kids and sport. I can say that DR KEITH MCEWEN saved my life with the lap band in INDIANA!
  7. just wanted to say...yes I was banded by Dr Keith McEwen. You are making a great choice. Dr McEwen and his staff really like to help you use your tools to be successful. LAP-BAND® Surgery in Indiana - Bariatric Surgery - Morbid Obesity Surgery - Keith McEwen M.D. or Indiana Obesity Center - LAP-BAND® System Surgery is a good way to learn more. I paid for my surgery and it was the best choice and best thing I ever have DONE FOR MYSELF! Best Wishes!
  8. :clap2: just saying stay on track during the holidays!!! avoid the sweets!
  9. Indiana Keith Mcewen Lapbandindiana.com I Private Paid At 16500.00 With A Full Year As Of Dec 2007 I Think It Is 14500.00
  10. IF you are a self pay patient - usually your adjustments are free for a year...if you are insurance....are you saying that your copay is not worth your life back...the surgeons follow guidelines. I doubt that he is only giving you trace amounts for some kind of purpose. Every surgeon is different so why try to compare. But if you aren't happy then move on............. my doctor, Keith McEwen will not adjust other surgeons bands but he is good but there are plenty of docs out there who will in Indiana. As for a doctor asking you how much YOU want in...scary unless you have some type of medical degree. It is YOUR BODY but you did not fall into the morbid obese category by knowing what was best! I know I did not get to a BMI of 32 because I was an expert on weightloss!
