  2. @nocturnalgemi omg that's awesome I pray the good lord shows me favor and my pain is low like yours has been. Your sailing right on through no issues keeping foods down getting in your liquids. That's awesome.
  3. Each surgeon is different. Did your surgeon's office provide you pre-op diet he or she wanted to to follow. Pre-op diets vary quite a bit surgeon to surgeon. I have 1 week liquid diet which includes 4 shakes a day first one within 1 hour of awakening. Sf popsicles, sf pudding, broth, diet none carbonated juice or flavored water is allowed. Stick to what your surgeons protocol. When's your surgery?
  4. I'm wondering what everyone's taking to the hospital???? My packing list: robe to cover my big hinny while I'm walking the floor after surgery slippers charger for phone and ipad toiletries & toothbrush hair brush & scrunchie loose fitting clothing to wear home or dress (tummy will be tender so I don't want any pressure on it)
  5. @MelissaH74 well congrats you have to great dates coming up. Lmbo!!! Geez I wish I didn't ha e a pre op diet. I need to get it together as I'm dreading it so much. How's your son is he feeling better? Are you taking a a ton of crap to the hospital? I'm taking only necessities because with my VSG I took so much stuff I didn't use lol.
  6. @CarmenVSG2017 fingers crossed I get moved up.
  7. @MelissaH74 sending up prayers for you and your son. OMG YOUR BIG DAY IS PRACTICALLY HEREEEEEEEEE. How are you feeling? I'm so excited for you. Be sure to tell me all about it when you're feeling up to it. You already know what I want to know LOL 1. How was the pain when you awakened in recovery? 2. Was you really nauseated? 3. Any and everything you think is relevant LOL hahahaha
  8. @alligus @LighterMe Hello Ladies WELCOME!! Congrats on your upcoming journeys. I see Alligus dates is Aoril 17th, when's yours LighterMe? We are definitely here to cheer each other on.
  9. @CarmenVSG2017 I haven't seen the isopure clear that has 40grams of protein in a powder form. I do know time to time GNC has a discount on a case of 12. Unjury and Nectar has sample packets for sale. Idk if anyone tried chike but I loved their banana protein powder. It was very good shaken with soy milk. Wasn't gritty and tasted amazing.
  10. Ok so my NUT explained the premier is a protein supplement and not a meal replacement which is why it's listed on the list after surgery.
  11. Grabbed icy orange, apple melon, and the blue one seconds ago.
  12. Congrats that's awesome. Which shake are you drinking?
  13. @O-Town Body Rock premier is an excellent high protein low carb and low sugar protein drink. Are you drinking other no calorie no carb drinks in addition to the premier shakes?
  14. You drank premier during pre op? @O-Town Body Rock
  15. @nocturnalgemi wow that seems super fast. Did you have RNY? How did you feel the first day? Was pain really bad and did you expirence nausea?
  16. I've used isoprure bottles that has 40 grams of protein when I had my sleeve. By itself it taste awful I mean awful. I added a packet of crystal light and made sure it was ice cold and it was decent. I can say what I loved before surgery the first time around I hated after surgery. Be open to trying different ones and don't buy too much of anything before surgery as you will be surprised how different your taste buds are after surgery. I read how that happened to folks but didn't think it would happen to me and low and behold it was 1000% true lol.
  17. Hi there Carley. Yes we all hate it but you certainly will get through it. Message me your email address and I'm going to try to send an email to link is all together. I start liquid diet next Tuesday ??
  18. @emirn1 I ordered injury unflavored to use post op. It wasn't on my list to use pre op but I'm going to inquire today can I use it during pre op.
  19. Congrats!! So happy things went well and you seem to be doing very well. Keep us posted.
  20. @emirn1 congrats that's awesome. I'm dreading the liquid diet. I have huge project at work the week of my pre op. I hope I'm not too cranky. What shake did you use?
  21. I'm going to pose the question and let you know what they say. @orionburn
  22. @orionburn injury on my list for post op I wonder why it's not listed for pre op?..hmmm. I ordered the unflavored one to add to soups and make shakes after surgery as well as the opurity chewable multivitamin. I'm going to inquire why it isn't listed for pre op.
  23. @CarmenVSG2017 hi Carmen. Best of luck to you. I'm supposed to be the 1pm case. My surgeon said stand by the day before as the time may move up. I'm not happy with an afternoon time at all. I want my surgeon to be nice and fresh after having his coffee when he opens me up but oh well.
  24. what shakes are you using for your pre op liquid diet? I start on April 4th and looking for suggestions/feedback. I'm supposed to have 4 a day during my liquid diet.
