  1. Haha we don't really have easier assignments and you can't go on light duty unless its a work related injury but the place I work now is much better than the last. The last place I worked I worked my entire pregnancy up till maternity leave on a lock down unit.. and that was rough..
  2. I just went to my obgyn this am and she brought it up, I will definitely try to use that to help my case thank you for sharing that!
  3. How easy was it for you both to breach the wls topic with your Dr.? Were they supportive or did they think it was the "easy way"? How long did you have to talk about it before it became a possibility?
  4. I wish I could have started this process long ago but I never had good insurance (any insurance really) Now that I do im so ready to get the ball rolling!
  5. My insurance says yes.. but im in the middle of tests and may have more than a few comorbilitys and that combined with my bmi may let me bypass it. Im in the early stages of this process just getting my questions in lol
  6. Mine says that it covers 50% coinsurance after deductible is met.
  7. I work in a long term care home and they approve two person transfers. If a resident is having a bad day I could be lifting a 140-190 lb person with one other cna. Usually they only allow residents that can support most of their own weight to be a two person transfer but anyone in the medical field knows that if u add a combative person in the mix its like lifting someone 3x larger.
  8. Out of curiosity if I didn't go to my pcp could they use my weight records from my obgyn?
  9. Im not to this point yet but im just curious if anyone here works as a nurse or a cena, and how easy it was for you to return to work after surgery. I am a C.N.A and my job is constant running on my feet and transferring residents, the work load can be very heavy at times especially when we are short staffed.
  10. Good luck and congratulations!
  11. Thanks! From everything I have seen so far this looks like an amazing suport system that I am thankful to have happened across
  12. I would love to have a chance to pick you're brain about how you went about starting your journey
  13. No. Im looking at all of my options and trying to make heads or tails of all the research I have done just trying to find the right direction to go in.
  14. Out of curiosity what insurance provider do you have?
  15. Hello everyone! Im trying to find more answers to all my questions and this seems to be the perfect place I guess first of all I am curious to know if anyone here is from Michigan and or has blue care insurance. I have heard many different stories from people I know about the requirements and everything leading up to qualifying for the surgery. I just got switched to blue care network from priority health and have to select a new Dr. I was curious if anyone had one they would recommend. Thank you!
  16. Anyone from northern Michigan here?
