  1. Im excited. I am going to Dorney Park next week. I am finally going to get to ride my roller coaster!!! WooHoo!!!
  2. Hey ya'll! got 1/2cc fill on friday and have great restriction. Forgot how to eat like a bandster its been so long. Before this last fill I was eating way more than a cup. Now I feel like I have so much more control again. This goes to show that I have a food addiction and need help with my portion control. Its hard to make good food choices daily. But I want to loose more. I know what I need to do. I just have to stay motivated. (easier said than done!) How are you all doing? Seems like Dr Wynn's office is busier than ever.
  3. :redface:Hi guys! I feel like such a slug. I have been missing from the treads for a while now. I guess life happened. Loose some wight and get a life. Its great. I am trying to take some time now and re-evaluate my weight loss. I really need to re-dedicate myself. I feel that I have done really well until recently. So I need to get some support from my Lap Band friends and start on my journey again. How are you all doing? I have not had a fill in about 8 months. I am scheduled in a month. I want to take this next 4 weeks to get geared up and prepare myself. any suggestions. I really need to break this nasty chocolate addiction again too...
  4. My doctor has no special requirements before the fill. However, the first 2 days after the fill are full liquids then the second 2 days are mushies. After that return to solid food. Eat slowly!!!
  5. HI everyone!!! Tomorrow is my 4 month bandiversary! I have an appt with Dr Wynn too. Wish me luck. I am pushing for 50 lbs lost. Now that will be a celebration! I have been struggeling lately. I just cannot get any restriction. I have been watching what I eat and making good decisions. However, the quantity is much higher than usual. I hope that all those problems will be solved tomorrow. I'll keep you all informed. How did you do Paulette? Lisa
  6. I drink coffee. not in the quantities that I once did. They are worried about gastritis. If it doesnt bother you after surgery Sam told me it was ok. However, some can never tolerate it.
  7. meg, I would try a really great salad (side salad). I do really well with salads. Maybe put some of your favorite cheese and dressing on it. Just be careful in the beginning with meats, they tend to get stuck the fastest. Stay away from bready things too! Bad habbit to get into.
  8. Hi guys. Stopped in to see Sam today and he mentioned that there was a recent guideline change when it comes to the multivitamins. I guess the children's chewable are not enough anymore. He said to use the OptiSource chewable multivitamin/ mineral supplement (1 tab 4 times a day) or the Bariatric Advantage Vita Band (1 tab 2 times a day). You should give him a call and discuss. There is some Calcium in the tablets, so we will have to take some individual calcium. But not as much as previously advised. I just purchased some of the Bariatric Advantage vits online, they only come in two flavors: watermellon and lemon. They are considerably higher in price than the childrens chewables.
  9. good luck today Lynn!!!
  10. Caelyn. I really believe that obese individuals have a hard time putting themselves first. We do everything for every one else and put ourselves last. With this surgery, I had to promise to put my health first. To make sure that I have time to go to the grocery and to go to the gym. Its a priority. Its more important than a clean house or any tv show etc. So before the surgery, make sure that you are ready for the work and have time to dedicate. It really takes a lot of soul searching.
  11. After Lynn and I were done at the gym today, I realized that it is my 3 month bandiversary tomorrow!!! I cannot express how happy I have been with this process. It also made me happy when I stepped on the scale at the YMCA tonight and was down another 4 lbs! More motivation to watch what I am eating and getting my butt to the gym. Lynn please quote me on this when I say I am too tired to go to the gym tomorrow night!
  12. My least favorite form of exercise is packing and moving. haha!
  13. Hey guys. Have not checked in for awhile. I have been busy packing. I close on my new house this weekend. So lots to do in the next week. Looking forward to the day when this is all done and I am settled. Glad to have Lynn to exercise wiht and keep me motivated on a regular basis. I see Dr Wynn this Friday (why did I book that appointment right before the closing?), so I will keep all of you informed. I try to weigh myself regularly at the YMCA, but the scale at CHRIAS is the one I go by. Really glad I did the surgery. Feel better than I have in years. Actually have energy! And starting to feel a little less "fluffy" now. That is a PLUS!!! Paulette you are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope all is well with you. Please keep me informed. Also, I have tried to add you as a friend; however, I must be doing something wrong. Because I am not under your list of friends. Lisa
  14. Hey Lynn, I cannot stop sneezing!!!But the walk was worth it. Congrats 366! Glad to hear that you are doing well.
  15. Lynn, the walk today was boring with out you. However, I did it and feel better. Anyone else in the mood to walk? Let me know.
