  1. does any one know if an apron can be removed with out general anesthesia
  2. I to feel something is wrong with my port and I can't get an xray to find out . the doctor doesn't seem interested in trying to find out . I have not even seen him since surgery just his nurses and assistants, who would never ,ever consider that ther might be a problem. keep on fighting to get your port fixed as it might help all of us who are having problems
  3. you need a very good advocate to helpyou talk to your doctor, it has been my experience that they never listen to you when you know and feel that something is wrong . keep trying. it is very distreesing.
  4. I wish I could get filled while using flourscope , my doctor does'nt use it and when I suggested this his fill nurse became very huffy. I am trying to find away to get it done I amm hoping that medicare will cover it
  5. does anyone know if medicare covers the xray to see if your band is ok. I have been banded a year, not much weight loss and nurse practioner wants to unfill me without actually seeing what is wrong. I am wondering if I've ever been filled. the very first time I was filled it took the nurse 5 or more tries before she got the right spot and I have only seen the Doctor once after surgery. I went through so much to get this far. Anyboby got any ideas .

  9. Help anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! surgery 6-7-07 have maintained 219 pounds for months pre op weight was 230 ,I have a size 5 band I have only 3.8 in the band with no restriction. DR assistant wants ti remove all of the fill for 3 weeks and then refill after that , she says that when she tries to fill me there is 2 much pressure is there a doctor in the house
  10. I'm not having any more pain, and I still feel restriction. But everybody watch out for the flu
  11. I caught stomach flu from my grand child. Was very very nauseated stomach cramps and threw up , I had very bad heaves as my band would not let me throw up very much. I had pain in my stomach,I was throwing up from my pouch I survived has this ever happen to anyone? My ribs were very sore.:thumbup:

  13. got my 3rd fill today I have 4ccband was stuck 3 times one needle was bent ,another kept slipping off the port, finally she got it in. I can never tell when it goes through to hit the port. I do not know how much was put in but supposedly much more than I have gotten before . I had not lost one ounce since my last fill in August . anybody having this problem
