  1. My doctor actually advised me at my last pre-op consultation that if I am not feeling well or think I may be sick at any time prior to my surgery date to make sure I call the office because it may have to be rescheduled. So with that in mind, I have been trying to steer clear of anyone with so much as a cough. Lol. Try to avoid them if at all possible!!
  2. I'm in Arlington... Between Dallas and Fort Worth. Being sleeved December 31 by Dr. Matin with Baylor Grapevine Weight Loss Surgery Center.
  3. We can definitely keep in touch @tkrn!!! That would be great. I'm so excited!
  4. Merry Christmas everyone!!! Went to Trophy Club for my pre-op testing today! I'm almost there! One week away. I'm so excited.
  5. Last consult with the surgeon today and it went well! Got all my questions answered. He helped relieve the apprehension I was feeling about getting a drain and about the CPAP. I'm excited all over again. I love my doctor. Also I'm down 10 pounds from 10 days ago, which is absolutely awesome!
  6. I met with my surgeon today and told him about my issues with it. He didn't seem to strict about it. Told me to be sure I bring it with me on the surgery date. I'm still going to attempt to use it but I'm not going to let it stress me. Thanks for the tip though. I may try that as well!
  7. Does anyone in here have to use a CPAP? I just got mine last week and was told I need to be "compliant" with my machine for 2 weeks prior to surgery. I am really trying but I hate that damn thing. I find sleeping far MORE difficult with it because I'm a little claustrophobic. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips and if your surgeons are strict about this or not?
  8. I was just thinking the same thing because I bought a few of the Isopure RTD as well. I tasted them and the aftertaste was just gross! I'm going to try some of these tricks though. Any ideas for what kind of juice I can mix with the blue raspberry flavor?
  9. VSG December 31st at Baylor Trophy Club. My surgeon is Dr. Sina Matin! I would love a buddy if anyone else is close to that date. I'm so excited and nervous. Doing my pre-op diet now, this is day 7. My diet was for the 2 weeks prior to surgery.
  10. Hi, I'm in the DFW area. (Mansfield) Scheduled for December 31st at 1:30PM. Baylor Trophy Club. I see that you guys surgery dates have passed, but I'm a week away and looking for a buddy. My surgeon is Dr. Sina Matin. I'm on day 7 of my pre-op diet. It is a little hard but I'm making it! Need to invest in a scale, didn't want to become obsessed so I have been going by my weight at each appt. The last surgeon consult is today.
  11. Today is day 7 of my pre-op diet! And it's not as hard as I thought. Made it through a family dinner without slip-ups! I was very proud of myself. I realize now that I am the only one that can stop myself from meeting my goals. Surgery is 8 days away and I am nervous, happy, anxious, and excited! So many different emotions. My last consult with my surgeon is today at 3:30. This is going to be a fresh start for me and I am looking forward to the journey, no matter how tough! Good luck to all the December Sleevers!!!
  12. I'm December 31st too!!!! How is your pre op diet going?
  13. My date is New Year's Eve..... December 31st. I'm on my 2 week pre op diet now!!! I've cheated once. A Subway sandwich. I felt horrible afterwards. Plan on making it the rest of the way, no cheating. Definitely in need of support though. And to know I'm not the only one struggling. I'm nervous and excited!
