    Thank you so much for the support group list! I would love to get together with anyone in the area. Great to have all the support and connections here. I emailed with Carmen last night for a while, and it was very comforting to communicate with someone else on this journey. I am single and although I have many friends, none of them really understand what I'm going through. So I feel kind of alone in this. Trying to change that. :-) I will send you a message! Thanks again!

    Hi everyone! Newbie here. I've started the process to get a vertical gastric sleeve---had pscyh evaluation, EGD and medical clearance. I still have a few hurdles, but it looks like my surgery will be scheduled for January 2014 in Dallas. I would LOVE to have someone to talk to about this! I don't know anyone personally who has had the procedure and my hospital does not offer any kind of support group. Is anyone in the Dallas area open to having coffee with me? Thanks so much!!! Jen
