  1. Hi ladies! I have a question! I never had anyone to ask this before so I am happy to have this app and the powder room for women only. I am wondering if anyone else has trouble using tampons while overweight? I haven't been able to use them for a very long time because I can't get it in and I can't bend the right way to do it cuz it hurts. I also have to use two pads at a time or I leak all over. Does anyone else have this problem? Does it get better with weight loss? Thanks! Stacie
  2. Was sleeved on March 3rd. Is there anyone on the forum that shares the same date? I would love to hear from you and see how you are doing?
  3. Hi! I am just a little over a month out and I am not losing weight! I am following the dr instructions and I am staying in the same spot and even went up a pound!! I am so upset and starting to regret even having the surgery. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone! I have this burning pain on the left side in my lower stomach and I have no idea what it is from? There isn't am incision there at all. It hurts really bad when I bend especially or lay down and get up. I don't know if this is a normal thing or not? Has anyone experienced this? I was sleeved on March 3rd so it'll be 3 weeks tomorrow! Thanks everyone!
  5. Hi! I am feeling so frusterated this morning! I am almost 2 weeks post op. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks, and I am not losing any weight!! I was losing ok and then it just stopped. The day of surgery was March 3rd and I weighed 280. I am now 270.5 and it has been stuck there for days! I just want to see the numbers go down, even a little bit. I have a friend that had the bipass and a friend that had the sleeve and they both lost faster then I am. I know it has only been 2 weeks but I can't help feeling frusterated. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks so much for reading everyone!
  6. Hi everyone. I am a week and a half post op and I have yet to get the full feeling when I eat. Every now and then, I will feel a slight tightness in my chest area but then it goes away. I still feel like I can eat. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks! Stacie
  7. Hello! I am 2 weeks post op as of yesterday and I am not losing any weight! In fact the scale says I have gained a couple pounds. I am trying so hard. I'm worried that the sleeve isn't gonna work for me! I was put on regular Proteins on Friday by my dr. I don't think I'm eating to much as my stomach wouldn't allow it anyhow. I would love to hear from some of you sleevers! How soon after you had the sleeve did you start losing weight? Thanks everyone!!

    My journey

Hi Mandie! I asked this same question about feeling full. I had my surgery on the 3rd and am on purée foods and still don't get that full feeling. I eat what I'm suppose to and stop. I just don't feel full. Do you get a tightness in your chest area in the middle? I do towards the end of my meal and I wonder if that is a sign that I'm full! Since we had our surgeries right around the same time it would be nice to have someone to talk to and compare notes with. Let me know if you are interested.

    Not feeling full

Blondiee, I am actually on purée now and I can eat eggs a cottage cheese too. I just don't feel full. I don't know why?
  18. I have a question about my incisions. Some of them are healing nicely. I have 2 though that the strips fell off and they are open and basically just a hole. Is that normal? It has me concerned. We are keeping it covered and putting an ointment on it. What do you think? Thanks!

    Incisions

Now they are like divots my husband said. They look pretty gross!
  20. Hi everyone! It has been a few days since I have posted. I had my surgery March 3rd. Everything went great. I stayed in the hospital 2 nights and almost 3 because my heart rate was elevated. Luckily it went down and I was able to go home. I have been doing great! Pain is minimal now and I couldn't be happier. I had a hernia surgery a few years back and it hurt a lot more and was an outpatient procedure. Anyhow, I am so happy I did this and can't wait till I start seeing results.
  21. Hello! I have a question? I am on puréed proteins for a week. I had my surgery on March 3rd. When I eat I am never getting that really full feeling like I thought I would get. I just get a tightness feeling right in the middle of my cheat when I am done with food. Does that mean you are full? Thanks everyone!

    Question

Thanks so much for the reply. I figured that is probably what it meant. I just wasn't sure because I didn't feel that full feeling I am used to.
