  1. Thanks for responding ..haven't had any sightings since ..becoming more regular ..down 13 lbs since surgery :-)
  2. I know this is tmi..but whatever..sleeved on the 20th and I just had my second bowel movement since getting home. I noticed a very slight bit of mucus..and teeny almost string of blood? Today is the most active I've been since getting home...went to the store.cooked for my family..is this a big deal or do I need to just sit my ass down?
  3. I was sleeved on the 20th too at Duke regional...Im more alert and active today..when I first got home yesterday I was good for nothing..but I haven't taken any pain meds since so I been awake for most of the day..but still ..doesn't seem like there's enough time in a day to get all these liquids in...
  4. I have blue cross and was approved 3 days after submitting. Luckily my policy didn't require 6 mos supervised diet. I had my surgery at Duke regional in Durham NC on the 20th..Dr.Sudan is awesome..he said I took him less than an hour. I'm at home now..still some internal and external pain..five small incisions the size of pencil erasers..I been home since yesterday afternoon ..in and out of naps yesterday ...but up and alert wrapping gifts and took a shower...ill give it about a week for all the swelling to go down and do my first weigh in....hope your journey is swift and that your surgery goes smooth when the time comes;-)
  5. My surgery date is Dec 31st! What a way to bring in the new year! Tmrrw is my pre-op appointment at Duke regional in Durham NC, evidently it's an all day thing where I go to group, meet with nutrition again and with my surgeon, anesthesiologist and of course FINANCE. I've tried to reach out already to iron out the details about what they require up front and nobody seems to know. I have bcbs IL and luckily they didn't require any supervised dieting period so that was a relief. I have 1500 deductible which I've already met just with pre op psych and nut and lab testing etc...and my oop max is 3k...so im really not too worried about the rest...im assuming it's all going to be billable since nobody at duke seems to know or really be stressing it. Yesterday I met a really great guy at Vitamin Shoppe in Burlington NC, who was completely encouraging and has lost over 90 pounds himself. He was able to recommend a multivitamin geared spec for bariatric patients that was fairly inexpensive and the best type of protein that I'll probably go purchase after my appointment tmrw. Apparently my insurance requires a surgery date to be set prior to submitting for approval so that was just sent for approval on Friday and was told by admin at Duke Metabolic Center for Weight loss to give it til about this Wednesday or so to check on the approval.**crossing my fingers** Soooooo....that's where I'm at...I guess it will all sink in after tmrw...until then I'll be checking out the forum and various youtube videos for encouragement
