How is your daughter doing? This is so ironic, I am going through the exact same thing right now with my daughter. She is 20, I am 43. I have a sleeve done with zero problems, she had a sleeve done the end of September and has been hospitalized twice since then, and is home now on a TPN and has an open leak that has not healed. It is a living nightmare, and I feel so terrible that I helped and encouraged her to do this. I hope this is over soon! Maybe we should compare notes ..?

Hi Iramirez29, It is so interesting reading your story. I am currently sitting in the hospital with my daughter with a very similar situation. She was sleeved on Sept 28th, and we discovered a leak 4 days after surgery, in the same upper esophagus./ stomach entry location. I was also sleeved with no complications, she is 20 and has now had 3 drains placed, a picc line with a TPN nutrition intervention, and a now feeding tube in through her nose was placed today, she also had a stent placed today, all with worse and worse pain and symptoms. The poor girl cannot see an end to this madness. She is so regretful for having the surgery, and incredibly miserable. Not a huge difference yet, but its a start ! I had vsg on 12/10/13. And I'm down 27.6 lbs so far... Have a long ways to go ( about 200 lbs) but I'm on my way! Loving all the pics and success stories on here! Inspirational!!

Had my surgery dec 10th! So far, so good! Go to are surgeon tmrw to get drain removed.

I was sleeved Dec 10, haven't had any complications, and have lost 15lbs in 6 days.. A bit of an emotional roller coaster right now , excited for the quick weight loss, but sad to be so restricted..
