  2. When did you start sleeping on your side again? Man I am about a week post op and all day today I was uncomfortable unless I was on my side.
  3. Everyone keeps bragging about gas x but my surgeon told me they don't work for rny, different gas different place. I brought them and they took them from me.
  4. I finally had a bm tonight and right before it came I was like omg wtf I hate this I'm so uncomfortable I constantly feel bloated. M.o.m isnt workin for me I'm going to die of constipation, this sucks... All my extreme thoughts lol. My fiancée would touch me just trying to be like a supportive pat on the back and I was like Godzilla RAWRR don't touch me!! I don't feel good!! Rawrr lol Then the actual act was so not pleasant at all and I was like fml I hate this.... Fast forward 30 min. Aww lost a lb and life is good lol -relief
  5. Surgery was Monday march 24th I smoked up until surgery an was cleared by my surgeon to smoke again 3 days post op. Just avoid coughing as it can cause discomfort in early days. I do not have the munchies now.
  6. That's specifically nicotine not marijuana
  7. I wanted to give an update. My surgery was march 24th I smoked up until my surgery (I have a medical marijuana card) and I was cleared by my surgeon to begin smoking 3 days post op and have since. No problems, I just avoid coughing for discomfort. And I do not get the munchies now yay!
  8. Wanted to give an update. My surgery was march 24th, my surgeon cleared me 3 days post op to use marijuana. I have since then and have had no problems. I do not get the munchies.
  9. Amen!! I think I'd puke if I wiped my tongue with vinegar. Although the last two mornings y breath was so bad when I woke up I wanted to puke lol.
  10. Def the ketones lol
  11. Yeah the nicotine is what hinders your bodies ability to heal.... My program was big on crossover addictions too... So that worries me that you say you can't do the liquid diet without nicotine. I'd quit and make sure you let your surgeon know.
  12. Man idk what's going on with me then! I'm broken lol
  13. Curious when your first BM was after surgery? My surgery was Monday. My bariatric team called me yesterday to see how I was doing and one of the questions they asked was if I had a bm yet? I was also concerned about this so I have taken milk of magnesia the last two days. They said if I don't have one by the end of the weekend I'll have to try something different. I was just curious when you had one and how long after surgery it was? Part of me doesn't even understand how I have any waste to have one! Lol
  14. Most people prefer a recliner so the first night I slept half the night in the recliner but found I needed my bed so I migrated there and put like 4 pillows under my head and two on each side of me and that was most comfortable. I like napping in the recliner throughout the day but prefer my bed at night. My fiancée has been on the couch because he is scared of hurting me lol. I appreciate the whole bed to myself I really do. I thought it would be a pain to get out of because it's the gel infused memory foam but it is heavenly I have no pressure points and I feel no pulling in any area on my belling like I do in the recliner. In the recliner I wake up a lot and have to readjust myself. I've got this roll out thing down getting out of bed not using my abdomen muscles. I think you will find whatever works best and makes you most comfortable fairly quick. I didn't need to buy anything, there wasn't anything comfortable I couldn't make without adding a few blankies or pillows that I already have
  15. thanks Kristina! I'm doing well, how about you?Doing well! No appetite which I'm loving. Food is just like heh whatever to me. Finally getting more fluids in. Gas pains have subsided, energy is still depleted but am enjoying these naps. Lost all the surgery water weight plus a few extra... I'm finally joining those on the losers bench and it feels Ah-mazing! :-P
  16. It depends entirely on your surgeon and insurance requirements! My program was 12 months long and that's when I finally met my surgeon and had surgery 3 months later. I have one of the longest requirements as my insurance pays 100% of everything, I didn't even pay a copay. The best person to ask would be someone in your program with your insurance. Do you have a case manager? They would be a good person to ask. I've seen people have surgery as soon as 1-4 months after the initial visit.
  17. That really is fantastic Blue congratulations you are rocking your tool! How are you feeling?
  18. I am 4 days post op as well. I can only drink about an ounce of water or my boost then I have to wait 15 minutes. Each day has gotten better. Walking has gotten easier. I am on boost shakes until I see my dr April 8th. I don't feel hunger at all and smelling food doesn't appeal to me either. I have to remind myself to drink.
  19. Sometimes I can sip more, it's consistently in this range though... 1oz in 5-15minutes. I think it's normal as our "guts" are inflamed and healing from surgery.
  20. I would have loved to stay in the hotel but my dad is 91 and he lives with me and I take care of him so I had to get home. It's hard to get someone to come into the house to help that he likes. Lol. I would have felt so guilty I couldn't stand it. Oh I understand now, I would have toughed it out and done the same in your situation I am sure. You are a trooper!!!
  21. I'm still on boost shakes, same pre op diet is my post op diet for two weeks except I can have sf jello, sf Popsicles, and broth now I believe. So far I have only been doing the boost shakes and water though because I get full so fast and for long that I need my calories an protein from the shakes right now. My fiancée did just help me take a shower and that felt amazing!!
  22. Omg I about cried in my 15 minute drive home yesterday. I would have just stayed in a motel it I were you!!! Cheaper than gas and not worth the pain and suffering lol
  23. Ahh ok yay a post op march group for rny!!! I was part of the other post op march group but it was apparently for all surgeries! I wanted to to relate to gastric bypass peeps my surgery was Monday march 24th so far I have lost all the water weight they pumped me full of. Glad to be home and sleeping 3 hours at a time instead of 15 min.
  24. Oh ok; Sarah I'm mobile but if you do find a march rny group please let me know
  25. Was this group sleevers rny or both?
