Kaiser Fremont, CA pre-op 3lbs to lose
Hi, I had surgery at Kaiser Fremont on 4/30/13. The process was pretty fast for me. I spoke to the surgeon on 2/4/13, lost my required weight plus more, had psych evaluation and spoke to a nurse who reviewed my file the same day and she gave it to the surgeon for final approval and was given a call about a week after with a date. You can call and schedule a psych evaluation now because you are within 5 lbs. of your required weight loss. That was my experience. Hope yours goes as fast! I have had a great experience with Kaiser Fremonts Bariatric program so far. I wish you the best on your weight loss journey!

Coffee
I love my coffee. I had to wait 2 mos. post op before I started drinking coffee again. I drink 2 cups of the haff/caff kcups a day and put my mocha cappuccino protein powder in it. There are many ways you will be able to drink your coffee again and limit the caffeine.

You finally hit your goal and then what?
Your not alone. When I hit goal I felt the same way. I am now trying to figure out a good approach to maintenance. I have been in maintenance for 7 months and it has been challenging. Figuring out the right calories, what foods work for me and what doesn't, especially in maintenance you have more foods to choose from than the weight loss phase. Also, I am still working on accepting my new body with the loose skin and flaws. I cannot do plastics either, so I am working with what I have. I am getting more confident and feeling a lot better because I have come along way. It gets better and you will find your way. This process will be lifelong. Congratulations on reaching goal now on to maintenance.

Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
When I began my weightloss journey I wanted to get down to a single digit size. I weighed 140, wearing size 9 pants in my 20's for a short time only and was curvy and had a flatter stomach. I made goal and am now wearing size 4/6 now but of course more loose skin because I am now in my 40's and two children later. My husband says I am skinny than I was then and should not lose anymore, but I would like to be maybe be 10 pounds lighter just to be prepared for menopause and I like the feeling of being skinnier and not so much curves.

Approaching my 4-year surgiversary
Wow you look great! You have really worked hard. You do not even need liposuction, in my opinion, but I wish you well on your upcoming procedure. Thank you for the update, very inspiring!
