Ive been waiting for 7 months for this surgery ! Now I'm ready to get started with this journey!

I have UHC and they sent in last friday and I'm going crazy waiting also. I started process in Oct. I have done everything they have asked of me so would not think it would take that long. I have not called but the thought did cross my mind.

My Dr wrote a letter asking for a 6 month Healthy weight coaching to be waved and I was denied. I just finished it and we have reapplied last friday and I am waiting for approval again. I am a diabetic and taking 2 meds and 100 units of insulin a day and still not controlled. Hopefully I have jumped through all hoops for them. Good luck I have united health so maybe yours will be a different outcome.

I have had the sleep study and stress test. I have the EGD on 22Apr. Go back for 2nd sleep study Sunday night. I didnt know if I had to be on cpap so long before they would do surgery.

Found out today positive for sleep apnea. Is this going to help approval or slow down the surgery process? I have been waiting for 7 months and just finished 6 month diet. They should be sending in for approval any day now.

Im hoping to also have my surgery in april. I have a mandatory 6month diatician phone call program that i will finish on the 24 mar. They will file again after that. im hoping approval is fast. i have to get an egd and stress test and upper gi done. im from ft worth and excited this is getting closer. im right at cut off for ins approval so i will have to lose 20 lbs fast after im approved.

I was advised to get a compression garment a cream with copper. Has anyone heard of this and if so where and what did you get. I'm still in the getting approved stage so have some time. Will finish diet coach phone calls in march so fill file ins then for approval.

I have a fit bit zip and it is great! Its is small and is 59.00 downloaded to my iphone and has app fog logging food. .

Just got my fitbit don't have it set up yet. I'm waiting to get approved for surgery. I cant lose any weight till I get approved. I'm at 40 BMI. Have 2more months of diet coach that is required before we can file for ins. Approval. Going to start walking routine. I am an CT and x-ray tech so I walk quite a bit at work but need a exercise plan.

One I need to be 40 Bimini and another told me they expected weightloss. I have not had anything in writing. I WILL CALL AGAIN.

I am a CT tech and have created quite a commotion in radiology Dept. I have found diet books on my desk. Ive been told I'm not overweight enough to have surgery. I just let them know I have done my research and decided this is what I need to do. They have left me alone now. I'm half way through a 6 mo healthy weight coaching that is. Required by my ins coverage.

So do I try to lose weight go below cut off? I'm half way through and have lost 7lbs.. Has anyone else gone through this? My family DR said don't lose anymore until insurance approves. I just wondered if I don't show ive tried if they will turn me down. VERY frustrated playing the game
