  4. I had my band fitted on 12th November and I've lost 19lbs. But this last week I've gained 1lb! I just look at it like everything catching up and hopefully I'll lose more next week. Think it's just one of those things, try not to be discouraged. And try not to weigh yourself everyday as it gets you're down.. don't worry I know how you feel.

  11. After two weeks on liquids I was told to then go on to two weeks mushy food, which I'm on now. I find my band is accepting everything I eat/drink. I find I can also eat more than I thought, I can eat a whole childs bowl of something like fish pie. Is anyone else having this problem and do you think its because the mushy food goes through easier?
  12. Hey. I had mine done 16 days ago, and I don't regret it for a second. I'm eating mushy food and it fills me up for so much much longer. I haven't been doing a lot of walking but work keeps me busy lol
  13. I got banded on the 12th. 16days post op and feeling great. Sticking to the rules and eating is so much easier :-) how are you getting on?
  14. I was banded 12th Nov, was suppose to wait until today to start mushy foods but just wasn't getting what I needed from thick liquids anymore. So I just have mushy food with a lot of sauce as I felt ready. I haven't had any problems and feel fuller for longer. So your not alone with that don't worry :-)
  15. Don't worry. .it does get better. Yhe first week is the worst. I'm two weeks post op and feel like myself again. Just keep the pain killers topped up and ride it out. :-)

  24. This whole is experience is an emotional roller coaster, it's good you recognise the problems and maybe seeing an individual or couples therapist may help. Your probably getting so angry through frustration with the stress, strain and your relationship with food. I hope you find your solution soon
  25. Hey Bobbie, that's ok then, I had to only eat fat free yogert for a week prior to shrink liver. I've always had same problem, I can lose weight as obviously diets work but I can't maintain my lose. Then end up putting it all back on with extra. It's got to the point that it was difficult to get out of bed, being uncomfortable in all my trousers too and started effecting my health. I had my band fitted on 12th November and its made me look at everything differently. I've also lost 16lbs already :-D however I do still find Im often thinking of different things to eat haha. The real test is when I can drive again and go back to work. I also stopped fizzy drinks, breadyand doughy foods, started eating at table with tv off and eating really slow and chewing well. Inbox me if you want to chat about tips or general how your doing as good to have someone to talk to :-)
  26. Good luck bobbie. Im 7 days post op and feel so much better. This site has helped.me answer questions I didn't even know I had. How are you getting on with pre op diet?
  27. I'm glad I read some comments on this site the day after my surgery. I'm on the depo, therefore don't usually have periods. I started one two days after my surgery. Luckily I wasn't surprised as read it was common.
