  1. I've been upfront with everyone. I'm excited about surgery and a newer healthier life. I don't really care what others opinions are. Most who have negative things to say are jealous or insecure of themselves! Good luck! You do what makes you feel comfortable
  2. I know this sounds crazy but each one I've tried tastes like the smell of a dead rat! I know it's gross but what it reminds me of
  3. I can relate to most of these, I will add for myself: 1- near passing out trying to put on socks so hubby ends up doin it for me. 2- never being able to find cute clothes and shoes- hey just cause I'm fat doesn't mean I'm not a beautiful woman! 3- people automatically making excuses for their food choices around me. 4- back/hip/knee pain and kankles! 5- feeling insecure about visiting places where I'm not sure of chair strength/size 6- fear of medical emergency and ppl not being able to move me
  4. Thanks for these! Here's hoping I find something I can stomach.
  5. I'd love some ideas. I have a dreamsicle and pumpkin pie to try still. I'd love to see recipes for the others. Thanks
  6. My surgery is Dec.16th. Today I've been scouring the site for recipes. Found several things that sound yummy. My dilemma is I CANNOT stand protein powders. Nut has given me several to try but I literally gag regardless the flavor or what it's mixed with. Anyone have a favorite premade protein shake? Muscle milk doable but super sweet.
  7. December 16th!! Sooooo excited!
  8. My last appointment is December 6 and I cannot wait!!! Hopefully our wait for final approval won't be long My last appointment is November 25th. Have been told by insurance lady at office approvals done online and answers received within 10 min. Hoping that's the case!,
  9. Thanks! I used a nicotine e cig to help me quit. It's been over a month and I still have trouble, want to smoke daily. My doctor does test on day of surgery, if positive for nicotine, surgery is cancelled. Looking for nicotine free alternative
  10. Good luck! I have a few weeks to go but I can't wait to walk on the beach with my hubby and not get out of breath! I'm also excited about shopping in normal stores, not hunting specialty shops and settling for "ok" clothes!
  11. I am also a nurse. I think years of poor eating habits contribute to the number of us here. I know in last 6 shifts I've worked, we've only gotten a lunch break twice. You just eat what you find! I know y'all can relate
  12. Is there nicotine in these?
  13. How much of each ingredient do you use? Love the idea of coffee Protein Drink
  14. Thanks so much guys! Def some ideas I hadn't thought of.
  15. My last appointment is next week and have been told should know abt approval by nov 26th. I have yet to find a protein drink I can drink. Any ideas or recipes greatly appreciated. I know these will be so important!
  16. I had to quit or no surgery. Was hard but want surgery more. You can do it!
  17. I had to quit or no surgery. Was hard but want surgery more. You can do it!
  18. About to have my last appointment and at first seemed to drag but now can't believe it's finally here! The awaiting approval will feel like another 6 months I'm afraid.
