Oh what a journey you and the family has to go through for years to come. I know what losing a loved one is. I lost my husband and the grief was at times almost unbearable. My Heart goes out to you and your family. It will be a hard holiday season..I promise u , time eases a broken heart. I just want give u a big hug right ne. God bless u and the family.

I am having my surgery on dec 9. I am not required to do a preop diet except for the two daysbefore the surgery. I have tried within the last couple of months to lose 10 pounds..but Bly lost 3 pounds so fat. For some reason I cannot stay on a dietgbefore the surgery..and I think it is because I am not required to lose weight. It makes me wonder if I am really ready for the sleeve., please let me hear from you and what u think. Btw..I am typing and the page is lire tally blank.. Something is wrong with the system. Oh it is so nice to hear that you were a lapband to sleeve patient and had such good success. Congrats on meeting your goal. Good luck on your next surgery to remove the extra skin.

Yep looking much younger..that is one thing I hope from this surgery ..is to look younger.. Since I have fined weight I feel older..and look older. I had always prided myself in looking younger, healthy and energetic

I was banded 6 years ago..I never had the feeling of being full or restricted, even when I had the fill. The only sensation I felt was vomiting up my food when my food would go down.when I ate chicken or steak or rice. I did not lose with the band..and my dr does not perform this surgery anymore due to slippage, erosion, etc . Too many revisions from land to sleeve.

Thank you all for spelling out like it truly is..I just shard some of the comments with him and warned him what to expect. I need to talk to my daughters about this also.

New direction is a very good product..with the necessary protein, carb, fat, vitamins, minerals etc to be healthy and lose some weight before u have surgery. Compare it to other products and. If u find something cheaper and is close to the same nutrients as new direction then go for it.. Yes new direction is pricey.

Did your surgeon give u a list of foods permitted through each phase of eating. Pinto and cheese is def not on my list for 10 days out.

Lovenlife13. Thanks for your support..I def will keep u posted ..I am not required to Do a pre op diet..but beginning to exercise and cut down on carbs. I am 5 feet 1, weigh 210 ..goaltweight 130-135. My surgery is dec 9.. Congrats on your success, especially with keeping it off for 3 years and having a baby. Can I send u emails on this website.. Since I have the lapband, my dr wanted mr to do s baruum swallow, upper gi and the endoscopy. My band is loose and is not embedded ..so this is good news.

I also was on MEDIFASt and lost 60 pounds two years ago. I regained all plus 5 extra pounds..so here I am having the surgery on dec 9. Many of my friends who were on MEDIFASt also gained most or all of their weight. My daughter was not on board ..and is probably still not too much on board with the surgery ..she is a physician assistant..my husband does not say much..he has not discouraged or encouraged me. But I may doing this for myself..I am exhausted with losing and regaining, .abolutely exhausted. Do what u have to do for yourself..good luck and keep us posted.

It is amazing how u look so much younger. And gorgeous. Yes most women r way too hard on ourselves. I got to watch my inner voice at times. Anyhow congrats to u and your husband

Good to hear that band to sleeve r successful..I don't want to go into surgery believing revisions from band to sleeve will be hard to succeed.

My surgery is December 9th and I start my preop diet tomorrow. Would like a mentor who has been on this road for some time. Thanks in advance
