Lafs, Thank you. I'm glad you didn't have any probelms. I do feel 100 percent better right now. Very little pain and actually able to sleep on my left side again. It will all be worth it in the end. My doctor also told me I had a hernia that he fixed while he did the lapband, Who knew? I didn't know I had one.

Hi everyone, Banded on the 4th. Today I have very little pain. I had a bad time at first. The pain meds they send you home with had me vomiting for 5 hours on saturday, so I needed to get by with no pain meds. I feel so full all the time. I can only get down one broth and one jello a day. Doctor says it's because i'm still all swollen he says it will get better. Good luck to all the new banders.

Lafs, I wish you the best of luck on your banding. I agree with you that Thursday can not come soon enough. It seems like it is taking forever to get here. I met my surgeon today and we are all set for thursday. Good luck to all this months banders, I will check in Friday and let you know how things go.

LS are you on the hmr500? That's what I am taking and I am down 60+ ponds in 6 weeks. I am being banded on the 4th my pre-op starts tomorrow.

Thank you for your kind words. The liquid diet is not that hard to do, especially if you really want this. I am so looking forward to my date of october 4th.

Hi Rabid24, Good luck on your surgrey! I'm excited about it. I started this process 2 monyhs ago with my girlfriend. She still does not have her date yet. I am going to lahey clinic in Ma. and I think it is their way of knowing whether or not you will be successful at this by making you lose weight first. Lahey Clinic also makes you quite smoking first if you do not they will not do the surgrey. I am down 52 pounds already due to liquid diet and I will still have another 200 to go. At least I will be used to the liquids by the time I have the surgrey. Thanks for responding. I have been reading the post on here since I knew I was going to fo this.

Hi Debi717, Thanks for the infro. I don't eat in between meals and I am not a junk food junkie, My probelm was that I always ate to fast and too much. So It sounds like this will work for me. I will just need to know when my body is full so I don't get sick or anything. Good

:clap2:Hi everyone, I am October 4th. Can't wait. Am I the only one that was told to lose a certian amount of weight before their surgery? I have been on a liquid diet for a month now. 52 pds down I am supose to lose 80 but they already scheduled me.

Hi Everyone, I will be turning 52 at the end of september and I am scheduled for my band on October 4th. I'm getting nervous. Not afraid of the surgery, but just hoping the weight will finally come off and stay off.
