Well today makes one week for me. Everything looked good at apt but my bp lil high (hoping it gets normal soon). I have lost l3lbs and I'm super excited. Feel pretty good lil sore at times and I get tired easy but other then that not many complaints

What is a panniculectomy? Is this a tummy tuck or like one?

I was wondering bout the water thing. I am 1 week out on full liquid and I can hardly drink water it hurts and WILL NOT go down easy. I LOVE water so i hate this. I don't have a problem at all with my protein. I can chew ice without it bothering me and drink broth ok. I'm just trying to stay hydrated and hope I'm getting enough in. Good luck everyone.

Wow congrats! I'm one week out tomorrow and down 11 pounds. My goal is to be off bp meds in Dec and 30+ lighter. It has been a week of ups and downs but I'm blessed with an awesome support group (family&friends). I know this will add years to my life and I'm thankful for the opportunity. Good luck to yall!

Omg I was so puky 24 hrs after surgery so wow that's crazy. Does anyone know good calorie count during the full liquid phase or is there not one? I can't do over 600 so I hope that's good.

Is this normal?

Today I am 5 days out and first day I have felt hungry. Takes me lil while but I'm getting protein shake down in am then some broth and popcicle for lunch and then dinner I do 2nd protein shake. I'm able get my protein in so very happy. I'm on full liquid right now but curious if anyone at this stage is hungry at all and what they do? It isn't head hunger because my tummy is growling and doesn't stop till I feed it lol. Any advice? My calorie intake went from 350 couple days ago to 580/600.

3 days post op and I start my period...ugghhh as if I don't have enough to deal with.

I will be glad to get on puree stage I'm on full liquid now

Great job. I am 4 days post op and feeling pretty good today. 1st day I have felt hungry today.

I have whole pin of clothes I look forward to wearing on pinterest. Can't wait!! Surgery was 11/12/13 and today was first day I actually felt hungry. First day I didn't have trouble getting my protein in.

I haven't had painn meds since yesterday pain isn't bad just lil sore but so glad to be home. Thanks everyone

Second night so much better. I had 2 stay xtra night bc if issues. I'm praying I get to go home today. Ready to be in my own bed

Had surgery yesterday (11-12-13). My 1st night was terrible. Couldn't keep water, ice chips, broth ANYTHING down. Today was supposed to go home but didn't get to bc of that. Had bp spike and qestioned if I had done the right thing with having surgery untill good friend reminded me why I wanted this surgery so she put my mind back at ease. I'm praying these popsicles (only thing my tummy can handle)will keep staying down and I can go home tomorrow.

I go in tomorrow am 7 (11-12-13) I was so nervous Sat and Sun but today totally at peace but now the excitement/anticipation is keeping me wide awake. I really need to sleep gotta get moving at 5 am. Hope all went well with ur surgery.

I go in tomorrow at 7 am surgery at 9 am. I can't sleep. I haven't been nervous at all today just kept myself busy now that I'm in bed u can't sleep lol. Ready for surgery to be over and start my journey.

My surgery is 11-12-13 I have been so excited and past ready to do this but now with just 2 days away I am so nervous. Has anyone thought right before surgery gosh I hope I'm doing the right thing? I hope I'm not alone on this. I read posts/success stories and can't wait to be one but man my nerves are crazy right now. Thanks for everyone's insight and encouraging words

Hi I'm from Louisiana. Dr. Leblanc is doing my surgery at OLOL hospital in Baton Rouge on 11-12-13. Omg that's in 4 days!!!!!! I'm super excited and lil nervous but reading everyone's posts is reassuring to me I'm 5'8" and currently down from 275 (begining of my 6mo start) to 265. My goal is getting off bp meds and ultimately losing 115lbs
