  1. I know what it means to be type one, I've had diabetes for 17 years, insulin resistant and all, I have controlled and managed my diabetes with 0 to no insulin since my sleeve. Even my own pcp told me I've practically cured myself. Even if I need insulin, it's a few units every couple days to week. My a1c is great! And I'm happy woth my sleeve and success.
  2. I'm a type one and insulin resistant and now control my diabetes with my eating and exercise and rarely take insulin. So yes, although I'm type one, I feel healed.

  6. Anyone have a doctor they recommend in Houston? Trying to search for the best and keeping my options open.
  7. I'm insulin resistant and 14 months out today, I'm down 87 pounds with 13-15 to goal. I've cut down insulin from 60/ units daily of novolin N and R to 2-3 units of Novolin N every few days... My A1C is 6.9 and I'm happily healthy!! I've had some low sugars in the beginning, now I know how to maintain them. Good luck!

  9. Ok ladies , I have 5 pairs of size 10 jeans by New York and Co. That I paid $40-$60 a pair for, I wore them 1-2 times a piece and now they're huge! I have a pair of 12's also and old navy Flirt in size 8 , I'm also throwing in a few shirts in large and extra large.... $160 is what I'm asking, in great condition and I must get rid of these!   11. Ill try reposting my question here, how did u pay for plastics? I want to go to Mexico, I have a few docs in mind and I've spoken to one already, bit how did u all pay for it? Did it take u a long time to save? Did u use some kind of credit card? I need a LBL and a breast lift. Somebody please help! Currently have some money saved but I want to know other options... If u took out a loan, how did u go about that? I don't have the best credit either!

  15. I would love input from people going or who have gone to MX for plastics. Did you finance? Take out a loan? Or did you just pay cash? Who did you go to and how was your experience? I would love all the info I can get because I'm trying to choose a doctor and get this done within the next 3-6 months. Thanks!
