  2. Gas-X and heating pad worked wonders. The gas pain is gone!
  3. Hello Everyone, I had my Roux-En-Y on 11/12/2013 and all has gone well. I was not in the hospital very long and have been doing fine at home. One thing that seems to linger is the pressure/pain from gas. I was not given any information on OTC drugs to take for relief, but I have seen some folks on the forum referencing GasX Thin Strips. I was wondering if anyone has had experience using them and how that worked out. Are they safe to take 4 days post-op? I can deal with the pain and pressure, but any relief would be awesome!
  4. Was anyone given anything to take for gas post-surgery? I had my surgery on 11/12/2013 and the only issue I have had is with gas. I was up 30 minutes after being in the recovery room and walked a mile. I didn't seem to help with the gas all that much. I've been active since then as well, but still seem to have gas issues. I've seen reference to some folks using GasX and was wondering if that is safe 4 days post-surgery. I believe there are "Thin Strips" that can be used so no pills have too be swallowed. I know how bad the gas pain can be and I am trying to power through it. Anything that could help tolerate it would be good!
  5. Had my pre-op appointment today. I've been on my full liquid diet since Monday. It hasn't been as bad as I though it was going to be. Next Tuesday is my surgery and I am ready for this!
