  4. not sure if im ready to go in public, but i found and old one when i was cleaning and took a pic for my boyfriend hahahaha
  5. Miss you the most: BREAD things Miss you the least: Squeezing into too small pants because I was too embarassed to buy the "big" sizes. Being in constant pain from orthopedic issues, not being able to walk up the 2 flights of stairs at school, not wanting to date because men don't want to date a "fat" woman.
  6. I am about 4 weeks out from a RNY, and I am so tired. I took 3 naps yesterday and 2 today so far. Is this normal? Some people say yes, some people say no. I did not get enough Protein for the 3 days before yesterday, but I did yesterday and today. How long do you think it will be before I perk up a bit? Also, I have been taking a B-12 liquid supplement, but is it possible that it has not been absorbing well? I have ordered sublingual B-12 from Celebrate and it should be here by Friday. Any thoughts would be appreciated
  7. Good for U! I am just about 2 weeks out, and I only weighed my self once, 7 days after surgery- I had lost 7 pounds-- The pants that would not zip last week zipped yesterday, and maybe I can wear them next week I have been walking my dog 1-2 hours everyday! I feel so good! @@Jolisue sorry ur scale hadn't moved when u posted this, how is it now?
  8. I hope you begin to feel better soon
  9. Yay for u! So glad ur feeling well
  10. OK I know i've posed the last 16 things, but I had one of these while I was reading and responding... when u forget to take ur bra off after being home for 4 hours (because it doesn't hurt)... I used to unsnap it walking up the stairs into my house :/
  11. That day is one I hope for <3... that I feel comfortable around people at the beach, not that your bathing suit falls off hahahahahahaha
  12. Bahahahahahahaha u really did that? Awesome! And ur Momma raised you right by teaching u to open doors for people
  13. @Jersrose43 I live in Chattanooga, glad to hear you got to see our beautiful city many, many beautiful walks here, I am so thankful!
  14. @@terrydumont46 I was wondering where you lived that you get to eat fresh caught salmon! jealous!
  15. From what my MD's office told me I wouldn't produce ghrelin anymore, and I had the bypass last week. Hope this helps
  16. I am not that far out from surgery, but from what I understand I have been using food to comfort myself for a lot of my lifetime, and since I don't have that as an option anymore a lot of "stuff" I haven't dealt with made me a little emotionally labile. This is just my experience.
  17. My surgery is in 2 days, but I have already had a NSV moment-- my scrubs used to be tight (like the seam ripped in the shirts tight...) well yesterday I had a liter of Fiji Water and needed the hand I was holding it with, so I stuck it in my front pocket... it fit with room to spare! What!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  18. I am about to go to a local meeting for bariatric patients. I did not know there was a "Big Book of Gastric Bypass." I will run by books-a-million on the way home from the meeting. Thanks for the info Jolisue!
  19. Yes Jolisue, I started last Monday (even though I didn't have a date yet), just putting it out there in the Universe that I would get the Sept 22 day I hoped for Looks like it worked!!!!!!! I was doing really well until yesterday when I passed an Arby's... I fell off the wagon after I realized I might never be able to have it again... so I decided to just go on the all-liquid diet today rather than risk failing again (deciding to have "something else" for dinner rather than a lean cuisine). How are you doing with it? Any problems? I hope it has been smooth sailing for you!
  20. I just got my date!!!!!!!! September 22!!!!! I was going to have to wait until October, but as I was leaving they had a cancellation-- it just goes to show that things happen when they are supposed to, and not before. I have been waiting for a year for this to happen! Yay!
  21. Thanks for the support merckman I have done really well since that cream of wheat incident! Hahahaha
