  1. Yesterday I had to go buy pants because everything I have is falling off of me. My previous size was 18W and I bought 12's!! I almost cried! My surgery date was October 2 and HW was 230. I weighed 166 this morning. Only 15 lbs from my surgeons goal weight for me. That's a lot of change in a little less than 3 months. Happy doesn't begin to describe it! I am so thankful for this surgery and wouldn't go back for anything. Now maybe a cute pair of boots
  2. I am so glad to hear others are cold too! I FREEZE all of the time. An electric blanket is on my Christmas list lol. My butt doesn't hurt thank goodness. My surgery was October 2, 2013 and I have hit the 50lbs lost mark and have 35 to go! I am so happy with my progress and wouldn't go back for anything! HW 230 CW 180 GW 145
  3. I started at 230 too!! My surgery was October 2 2013 and I have lost 45 lbs.. I'm so excited by that! My goal is 150 and I think I will be extremely happy at that weight. Congratulations to everyone!! I would do it all over again in a hot second!
  4. My surgeon doesn't do lap bands any more because of the long term complications.
  5. I am not an expert but have done extensive research. My surgeon DOES NOT even place bands any more because of all of the complications. Please think long and hard before you choose that option. I chose gastric bypass because the long term results were better than sleeve and more reflux and nausea with sleeve. Good luck to you!
  6. My surgeon DOES NOT even place bands any more. Way too many complications involved. I opted for full gastric bypass because the long term results are so much better. Good luck to you and I hope all of your troubles are behind you now!
  7. Perdue frozen chicken strips. They are already cooked and are easy to prepare. Good luck!
  8. Thanks so much for that!! My main concern is lack of protein. I've got to do better at trying though. Somedays I don't even attempt it.
  9. I am 12 days post op and really haven't gotten my appetite back. I am on soft foods, but nothing appeals to me. I am also having a VERY hard getting protein in. All of the shakes make me nauseous! What do I do???
