  1. I crushed a camping chair. Who knew those suckers had a weight limit?! You will be just fine! Good luck to you!
  2. I'm so thankful I'm not the only grown woman totally scared to tell my folks! Glad yours were cool about it too!
  3. I'm 36 years old, but didn't want to tell my parents about my plan to get sleeved. Well, yesterday I told them and not only were they cool about it, my mom offered to go to Mexico with me to support me! (My husband is going to stay home with our kids) my question is: will there be a time at OCC when they plop my giant butt on a scale in front of my mom? She's been skinny her whole life, so even though she knows I'm fat I really don't need the judgment of HOW fat.
  4. April 10th!!!! Fingers crossed it all works out!
  5. HoosierGirl, I was denied by my insurance a month ago. I sat in my bedroom crying because I felt so helpless. My husband said we'd do whatever needed to be done. That night I found your blog! You gave me hope, and I plan to join the loser's bench in April of next year! My sister is a college professor at Butler, maybe one day I will be able to give you a hug (when I go out to visit her) and thank you for being an integral part of finding my way to OCC!
  6. I think it will be easier when we're skinnier. Because now when we say "We can't eat very much" I know they probably look at my fat butt and go....."Riiiiight. Whatever lies get you through the night lady...". Maybe when we're smaller, they'll believe us. Bwahahaha! So funny!
  7. I'm a respiratory therapist and the test will totally be able to tell them if you've been smoking. Sorry.
  8. I'm a few months away from my surgery and I'm fixated on the idea that I won't be able to chug water. I'm freaked out about not being able to get in my water! Were you a water chugger? How did you deal? What is it like now?
  9. Covatila84, I haven't set my date, but I am hoping to snag a date in the middle of April!
  10. I've made the decision to have my surgery at OCC! Thank you all for giving such great info, it has been awesome reading what a great experience you have had! Can't wait to join you all on the losers bench.
  11. Wow! You are such an inspiration! Great pictures! I love the idea of throwing away my GIANT scrubs one day!
