I would bring a pillow for the drive home to hold against your stomach.

I've done it as well & I thought I was going to die. I know dramatic, but honestly that's what it felt like. I just like you will NEVER do it again!!

I had just one day of a preop diet & I still want to eat, I can't imagine more than one day of clear liquids with the appetite I have now.

I think my second guesses are only coming from the fact that everyone I talk to (no matter how supportive) are asking me; "are you sure you want to do this?" I have no reservations I just wish I would hear that question less lol Thank you for the support!

Were surgery twins! I don't think I will be able to fall asleep at all either.

Tomorrow is my surgery day. I am no longer plagued with a cold. Now it's just a little bit of nerves & a bit of the wtf am I about to do?! Sigh, I have put so much thought into this process, why the second guesses now??

I told everyone who would listen. I couldn't contain my excitement. I could care less what negative they think about me. I have thought so negative about myself for years that their opinions don't phase me. If it's positive though I pay attention to that lol

My surgery is on the 20th so I will have a good 5 days before the sale by date is expired. Thanks for the recommendation to call them. That didn't even cross my mind.

I found premier protein shakes at my local dollar tree so I stocked up. Problem is I'm pre op & I will not have a long pre op diet. The sale by date is before I will be on regular liquids. Does anyone know if they can be frozen? Or if they are good after the sale by date?

I am having the same issue. I haven't had a cold in almost a year & now that I am a week away from surgery I am coming down with a cold. I hope you get better & have the all clear for surgery. My surgeon told me to call him the day before if my cold isn't gone.

I think I am coming down with a cold & surgery is next Friday. Has anyone had surgery while being sick?

My weight goal to loose is 75lbs. Surgery is on Dec 20th.

My surgery date is Dec. 20th. I meet with my surgeon & nutritionist on the 13th. With those dates being so close together I am glad that I will not have a lengthy pre op diet (if any) It feels like I have been waiting so long that having a date still doesn't feel real.

I am happy to say that I am finally approved. My reconsideration (first was denied) was submitted on 11/15. My insurance company finally approved it this past Monday. Now comes the task of waiting on a surgery date. I hope it happens before the end of the year.
