  1. Other than really bad gas and some nausea , my recovery has been smooth! But like most, I was up walking right away! A little story, I did great and the guy next to me howled and screamed and cried all night! The nurses were in there constant, I thought he was dying ! Come to find out he was sleeved just like me! Lol! I'm like, " come on dude, what the hell is your problem!" I agree with some of the posts, some people's mental state and pain threshold are different, and every little thing we ignore may turn into a huge spiraling issue to them!
  2. I am still having problems, I go days and days! I have had 3 bms in three weeks, only one was natural! The other two was Malco-magnesia or however you spell it! Lol! The dr told me to take 2 tbs and it worked, and only use it every other day as needed! I may have to take some today! I found that malc-magnesia and maalox are my new best friends for a while, and the only two things my dr will let me take!
  3. I am at a stall ,,, sad face,,, I was kicking but losing left an right and then I started purée and bam, haven't lost in days! Other than that doing good, still confused on how puréed I need to meek things, and questioning the difference between puréed chicken and shredded chicken once they are both chewed! Lol! My wounds are almost gone and I'm down 32 lbs since two week post op! I'm teetering between 200 and 199. I kinda knew I would stall here! Can't wait to start loosing again, it kinda sucks!
  4. I don't know who did the psych eval or who your dr is, but it sounds like you were not informed very well at all! If you don't even know the sign of a leak, then you need to google it and call your dr! I am 3 weeks post op and I. Purée! I have gone to 2 restaurants and cooked every day for my family! Do I want to eat,,,, he'll yea ,,,, but I would rather live than die! You should not just be worried about a leak, ask your dr how eating to soon can get food stuck I. The bottom of your stomach, and next thing you know your getting emergence surg for gastric bypass!!!
  5. No and he really didn't notice, it was easy breezy!

Try candida , sugar builds up a yeast in your blood stream that keeps cravings alive! Candida is a great way to help eliminate the sweet cravings and it cleanses you! Good stuff!!
  8. I totally know how u feel! I sleep siting up to help, and I'm getting discouraged, they told me to take maalox but even that only helps a little! I just hope it goes away, and it's not forever!
  9. 10/23/13 Height 5.3 Highest 250lb Post op weight 232 today 203. I am still on liquid, having a hard time with acid reflux, and Water seems to be my only friend! I am worried I will never be able to tolerate anything again! I feel ok but this can't last forever! Light nausea , and gas+ constipation! Having a hard time , don't like anything sweet right now! I am glad for weight loss, but worried about my health , hoping it gets better!
  10. Hi , I'm in cda area, I got sleeved at rockwood in spokane! Dr spitz did mine oct 23!
  11. So I am one week out and mentally I feel good enough to do things, so I got to do them and bam, I'm exhausted! I think it's a matter of nutrition, and not getting in all of the nutrients, plus our bodies systems are burning tons of energy just trying to heal! So when we add walking to this , we get tired! I know it will go away because I see so many people months and years out running marathons and triathlons! I'm with you, feeling it to! Walking is good but pace it until little by little!
  12. Teachamy. I have tried it all, I really just wanted to know if I'm the only one, or if there are others, and what their out come was?!
  13. I am one week out and almost every time I take a sip of something's get a sharp chest pain! I have tried all different ways of how to swallow and drink nothing helps! Water is the easiest, so I mostly drink water! I just want to give up drinking all together!
  14. Oh I have the same fear, but the truth is, the surgery is safe! If your that worried, I'm sure you researched your dr and met his staff! I went in and was sleeved last wed. And they told me there was almost zero chance of me dying on the table, I was more likely to die in a car accident on the way to the hospital! I pulled it together, stated my fears all the way up till they put me under! The more I told them how scared I was, the more they would all reassure me of how safe and good the dr was! I just kept saying to myself, god is with me, I will never have this opportunity again, if I stall I will be fat, yet another year, I'm not getting younger and it's my turn to live! I have three kids and I never want to leave them, but the truth is I can die any day, however I can't get back chances if I don't take them! I seriously was just like you, and as they wheeled me back to the operating room , I kept saying, is it to late,! They walked me through each step and reassured me I would be ok the whole time, and I was! If you do everything they ask, and take all the tests , then you will do great! What are you going to regret more , letting your fear keep you from happiness , or taking a minor chance to achieve greatness! ? Hope this helps!
