Shoes! NSV
For the past couple of years as weight has piled on I have not been able to wear most shoes. Most shoes cut into my foot and cause me much pain. I have resulted to wearing soft leather loafers. In fact, I finally found a pair of Michael Kors loafers that I could wear comfortable and bought every color. So, they have been my shoe collection this fall and winter. Christmas of 2011, my mother bought me a beautiful pair of black leather ankle boots. I could never fit them. They just sat in my closet on the shelf. I threw away most of my other shoes thinking I would never wear "regular" shoes again. Anyway, I tried on the ankle boots this morning and WHAM they fit! My foot fit right in!! In less than 2 weeks, this very significant part of my life has changed! So off I go! Shoe shopping!!!

This little sleeve of mine
I'm gonna let it shine! I had no idea that this sleeve would do the things it has done for me in less than 2 weeks! I feel like I don't have a stomach at all now. No pain, no hunger, no nothing. I am literally eating (well drinking) to live not living to eat as I have in the past. It is almost like there is just an empty space there where my stomach used to be. Yesterday, the day went by and I realized I had only had two pop cycles the whole day. So I really have to remind myself to eat something! I'll work on that. Happy New Year everyone! I have a feeling 2014 will be one of the greatest years for me!

Everyone has been complaining about my breath since surgery. I brush, floss, use mouthwash but still can't get the stink to go away. Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions?

sleep?
Me too! I was sleeved on the 19th as well and before surgery I could sleep for 12 hours straight. Now I'm waking up in the middle of the night watching whole movies. Never had insomnia before, but it seems to be the case now.

Anyone use Dr. Gadaleta in great neck, ny?
Had my surgery with Dr Gadaleta last week. He was great and his team was great. I work at the hospital in which I had my surgery and I have to say I received the five star treatment. Everything was spectacular. First couple of days were rough then got tremendously better. Not feeling that well today but I think it is because my menstrual came on out of the blue after six months. Have my one week check up tomorrow!

One week post op- got a suprise
Hello I am one week one post op today. Been feeling really well these past couple of days. No real pain. Sitting up all day and walking around. No naps. Able to hold liquids etc. However I woke up this morning to my menstrual cycle after not having one for six months. My GYN said it stopped probably due to my weight. Is it possible that this surgery could have already triggered a my monthly cycle? I don't know how much I has lost as I don't have a scale yet. I go for my follow up appt tomorrow and will find out. My husband keeps telling me it looks like I has lost 15-20 pounds. Anyone else experience this?

Sleeved on the 19th -- feeling bad
Hi All I was sleeved Thursday got home last night. Not too much pain but very uncomfortable and bubbly. I can't really drink anything as my stomach starts to roar and rumble and bubble. No matter how less I sip. I'm so thirsty but feel like I can't do anything about it. Not hungry at all. I hope things get better because as of now I am having doubts about all of this.

Twas the night before surgery
Surgery was yesterday. I'm not going to lie. Was in a lot of pain yesterday and last night. Mainly discomfort more than pain. This morning, much better. Walked around the floor. Used the restroom did my hair. Should be going home today. Will give more details once I'm home in my own bed.
