I read the paper today and my heart just sunk. I am doing the insurance requirments to be banded and this made me think twice. I use Dr Collier and phoned him b/c I had so many questions about this. The paper said the doctor she used was a local doctor so I was worried. My doctor assured me he was not involved nor was the facility he works out of. There are few physicians in the Woodlands area. I am sure it won't be long before they release the name of the doctor she used. My heart and prayers go out to the family!

There is a support group meeting at Conroe Hospital on June 10th at 630. They are going to be holding it once a month and dates to be announced that night I believe. I recieved the info from Dr Colliers office.

Why does he recommend no red meat or pasta? I am using Dr Collier in the Woodlands area and he puts his patients on a low fat diet with high protein to get the fat off the liver. I was just wondering b/c my surgery is coming up as well. I have never heard of the red meat thing?

A book that Dr Collier told me about and that I love is Get with the program by Bob Greene. Its GREAT!!
